Stewart Group coverage 2009-2011

I worked with international mining assaying company Stewart Group

for two years. The company was going through a period of

modernisation and innovation following a management buyout and

the decision to change direction. I enjoy working with these 'hidden

gem' type companies - businesses that do remarkable things every

day, but have never thought to shout about it. Stewart Group had

900 employees stationed across the world, at some of the largest

mining sites in Asia, Africa, Australia and the Americas. The

company was eventually sold to ALS Group in a £146 million deal,

in July 2011.
