Robert Hilton - Working with Aran Island Ferries and “still running ferries from Ros an Mhil to Inis Mor, Inis Meain and Inis Oirr”. 56-58 Emlyn Jones - Pilot/ Harbour Master/Mooring Master in Trinidad.

60-62 Captain J D (Don) McGill - Master of the container ship Southern Pearl which island hops around the Pacific.

61-63 Captain Chris Puxley - Pilots the Solway Firth shallows to and

from the small but busy commercial Port of Silloth.

62-64 Donald (King Cam) Campbell - “I have been back to sea with Pritchard Gordon Tankers on Lesley PG for relief work twice in the last year. Being almost retired I have said I will work for no more than 4 weeks at any one period and this has worked so far. With all ships based in the Caribbean life is not too harsh! The company have me on a retainer”.

62-65 Peter Eaton - Pilot, Manchester Ship Canal.

63-65 Captain Chris Blunt - Still running Superyachts, based in Palma but spend winters in the Caribbean “which keeps me young”.

63-65 Captain Peter Howland - “I have been called out of retirement to

take command of Merkur Ocean aka "Cap Coral". On charter to Hamburg Sud for next five years trading far east to Aussie and New Zealand.”

63-65 Captain Brian Larcombe - Mainly retired but works for Vships Miami as a short term relief Master on the Deutschland/World Odyssey and was working through Christmas 2016.

63-65 Captain Paul Winstanley – Master of Maersk Atlantic which does

a weekly feeder run from Singapore to Indonesia and then back to Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore.

63-66 Captain Roy Dearman - Relief Master Thomson Cruises.

63-66 Martin Ransome - Is apparently sailing in the Caribbean with his wife in Bequia but he does some anchor handling work.

66-70 Captain Josh Garner - Has completed a “further relief in Feadship's

new-build 70 metre yacht Joy from. Re-validation of certificate including Manila Amendments and the generic ECDIS course have prepared me for further reliefs in 2018. So still at it - a bit!”

66-68 Peter O'Donnell - Chief Engineer, Vroon Offshore Services UK in

the North Sea. His vessel is Vos Master, the Stand By-Tanker Assist vessel for the Captain Field where there is a double platform installation and an FPSO close together. He has worked on the field for about three years, but has decided not to re-validate his ticket next year when he turns 65.

66-69 David C. Clarke - 2nd Officer / relief Chief Officer, Stena Britannica on the Harwich - Hoek van Holland service.

67-68 Nigel Williams - Chief Engineer

on Arfon Dyfrdwy. This is specially designed ship to carry the Airbus A380 wings down the river Dee from Broughton to Port Mostyn.

67-70 Hugo Breen-Turner - Chief Engineer, Stena HSS Explorer, the

biggest, fastest RoRo in the World powered by 4 GE Gas Turbines. Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire.

67-70 Captain Kenneth C Robinson - Captain/fish master of MV

American Triumph, South Pacific Tuna Corp (San Diego).

67-71 Captain John Harbord - Master container ship MV Maersk Leon,

trading between Far East (Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Korea) and South America (Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay).

69-71 Andrew Wright - Master of Trinity House’s Navigational Aids

71-73 Captain John L. Davidson Now Master of Maersk Clipper working on Newfoundland’s Grand Banks and involved in deep water anchor handling and mooring operations, towing of rigs, subsea and ROV support work, as well as general supply and cargo support operations.

71-73 Christopher John Todd now skipper of Tropic Sunbird with

Sunlover Reef Cruises, Cairns, Australia.

71-74 Pippa Nicholas - “My licence is still valid as Chief Engineer. I run

Yachtprojects International and still get to do a few sea trials, commissioning trips and proving trips for new communication systems. Mostly commercial shipping today but occasionally yachts.”

Retirements (since Summer 2017) 63-64 Captain Mike Dawes – Has retired as Master of Pacific Wrestler

for Swire Pacific Offshore operating at Barrow Island, Gorgon Gas Project, NW Australia. “I finally retired early this year (2017), although my ticket remains valid until 2019 and I may pick up casual relief work if and when the offshore industry picks up again”.
