Cyber bullying is bullying that takes place using electronic technology. Such as cell phones, computers, tablets, social media sites, text messages, chat, websites, and other electronics.

Kids who are cyber bullied are more likely to:

Use alcohol and drugs Skip school Experience face-to-face bullying Be unwilling to attend school Receive poor grades Have lower self-esteem Have more health problems

The 2011 Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Survey has found that “16% of high school students have been Cyber bullied in the past year” (Author, 2013). So you could end up to be one of them.

First, don’t be the bully. How would you feel if someone bullied you?

Second, if your being bullied just don’t respond. The bully only bullies you because you give him a reaction.

Third, Save the evidence and show it to an adult or school counselor. They usually know how to help.

Mean text messages or emails, rumors sent by email or posted on social

networking sites, embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, or

fake profiles.
