This story takes place: In Eden Forest around Eden Pond, filled with special waters from which the tress

and animals quenched their thirst.

2 Zippity the bluebird

The Bird Must Learn to Fly

At the Meeting Center with Zippity the bluebird

This is a story about a bluebird whose name is Zippity. Zippity the bluebird lives in a special

place called Eden Forest. A group of Special Eden Creatures live there around Eden Pond.

Zippity the bluebird has a great pair of wings, but to her misfortune, nobody taught her how

to fly. Most of the time, she finds it necessary to beg for friends to bring her fruits from the

trees.

We find her this lovely spring day standing next to Mickey the monkey. Mickey says, "good

morning my dear friend," and then he asks Zippity the bluebird, "What can I do for you?"

Zippity the bluebird, slightly embarrassed, tells her friend, "I would be so happy if you brought

me a few pieces of lovely fruits from up in that tree. It'd be enough to feed my whole family."

The Special Eden Creatures always help one another. Mickey the Monkey asks, Zippity, "Haven't

I always brought you fruit from the trees? But not anymore! You absolutely must learn to

fly, so you can feed your family."

The Special Eden Creatures had offered a lot of good advice over the years: "Zippity, you're a

bird. You were created with wings so that you can fly. Bring your children any fruit that you

want them to eat! Spread your wings and fly, Zippity the bluebird!"

Zippity the bluebird blushed and vert quietly asked, "How will I feed my family? Mickey, please

help and take me up the tree so I can fill my pouches with food to feed my babies."

Fraidy the frog added, "I wish I had wings like you."

Gerry the giraffe replied, "Your tears, and sobbing are not going to help you. You can fly, just

believe it and try." Who, more than the giraffe, knows what happens at the height of trees?

"I've seen how little birds learn to fly," added Gerry. "I have an idea for you," he offers.

Excitedly happy, all the Special Eden Creatures joined Gerry and say in unison, "Go to the

one creature who knows everything; Ollie the Wise Old Owl."

Ollie, the owl sleeps all day. He can see far into the distance with his big round eyes. Owls have

a very special hoot that can be heard everywhere in Eden Forest. Ollie the wise old owl always

asks many questions. "Who?", "when?", "where?", "what?", and "why?" It is said that he

always knows exactly what to do in every situation.

Zippity the bluebird and Mickey the Monkey headed out to Ollie's old oak tree with the setting

of the sun. The rest of the forest animals were getting ready to go to sleep.

3 Zippity the bluebird

The Wisdom of the Elders and Zippity the bluebird

Ollie, the wise old owl lived in a very thick oak tree, more than

three hundred years old, that rose high into the sky. Woody

the woodpecker had carved steps into the thick bark and a hole

for Ollie's house, into the trunk of the old oak tree. "Hello,'"

calls Zippity the bluebird and waited patiently on the branch

until Ollie would notice her.

With the twinkling of the stars Ollie made his appearance. Ollie

stretched his wings, and with one look at Zippity, immediately

asks her, "Do you want to fly Zippity the bluebird?"

Zippity, who so much wanted to tell someone about her fears and

worries, answered, "My friends say I simply must learn to fly,

but I'm scared. I'll do anything you tell me. I'll fly up to the top of the sky."

Ollie the wise old owl gave some advice to Tzippy, and suggested, "Don’t tell anyone anything

about what I tell you."

Zippity the bluebird became ecstatic. "Amazing! Will do anything you tell me, just so I can feed my family!"

Early next morning, with the sun rise Zippity the bluebird and Mickey the monkey hurried

happily along their way back to Eden Pond. When they got back, Zippity the bluebird asked Mickey the monkey very humbly, "please take me up in the tree."

All the Special Eden Creatures were curious and began to ask questions: "What did Ollie tell you

to do?

Deborah the bee asked Zippity, "Did Ollie teach you how to fly or not?"

Hanna the stork interrupted, "Let's give Zippity the bluebird a chance to prove herself." She turned to Zippity, "Just do what did he told you!"

Zippity proclaims, "I intend to carry out his instructions exactly!" Mickey agreed to take her up

the tree. All the Special Creatures stood in awe as Zippity quickly went up the tree, and right

away carefully hopped to the edge of the limb. Everybody stood watching in amazement

while quietly they sang, "Sing of happiness, Special Creatures, the Eden Pond, and the winds upon the air." They anxiously waited to see what would happen.

Zippity the bluebird started to flap her wings and suddenly jumped. Seeing the ground below her,

she noticed she was tumbling to the earth, but she remembered how the Wise Owl instructed

her to overcome her fears, and all of a sudden she realized she was flying. She shouted at the

top of her voice, "I am flying, I can do what I want in the sky!"

The Special Creatures were very happy for her. "You've succeeded, look how you're flying around; here and there and everywhere."

2 The Giraffe

At the Meeting Center with Gerry the Giraffe This is a story about a giraffe whose name is Gerry. Gerry the giraffe lives in a special place called

Eden Forest. A group of Special Eden Creatures live there around Eden Pond. Gerry the Giraffe

has long legs and a longer neck. His head is so high in the sky he doesn't always hear what

someone is saying to him.

One very hot summer day Gerry the giraffe had gone over into Eden Pond in order to quench his

thirst. Gerry drank and drank and drank lots of water.

Frieda the frog, shouts mockingly. "Hey," save us some water."

After finishing off to drink, Gerry raised his head between the branches at the top of a tree, and

started munching on leaves.

Suddenly, Hanna the stork calls out jokingly to Frieda the frog and says, "Have you ever seen a

tree walking on four legs?"

Mickey the Monkey raises his voice to Gerry the giraffe, "Excuse me, but you with your head in

the branches, you look like a tree with legs."

Gerry was not sure what she heard and asked quite innocently, "What did you say? Are you talking

to me? What?!"

Zippity the bluebird, trying to be funny, chirped in "What? What? That's what!" The Special Eden

Creatures burst into laughter. Gerry the giraffe heard and started gasping for breath. In order

to avoid further shame Gerry pointed his eyes heavenward, and took a deep breath the whole

length of his long neck.

All the Special Eden Creatures felt bad for Gerry the giraffe and wanted to help him.

The same idea came to all of them at once. All the Special Eden Creatures joined together and said

in unison, "Go to Ollie the Wise Old Owl the one creature who knows everything."

very special hoot that can be heard everywhere in Eden Forest. Ollie the wise old owl always

When the rest of the forest animals were getting ready to go to sleep, off went Gerry the Giraffe

all the way to Ollie's old oak.

3 The Giraffe

The Wisdom of the Elders and Gerry the Giraffe

Ollie, the wise old owl lived in an oak tree that was

more than three hundred years old, whose very

thick branches rose high into the sky. Woody the

woodpecker had carved steps into the thick bark

and a hole for Ollie's house, into the trunk of the

old oak tree. "Hello," calls Gerry the Giraffe as he

rested his head on a branch to wait patiently until

Ollie came out.

Ollie the Wise Old Owl was just waking up as dusk

had covered the skies and stars began to shine. He

stretched his wings here, and took a deep breath

there. Ollie sensed what was bothering Gerry and

tried to calm him and help him feel better. "The

Special Eden Creatures live like one happy family

doing whatever they can to help one another. It's

just that sometimes they get carried away and act

like children."

Gerry expressed his pain, "I'm tired of always being asked, 'Why is your head in the clouds'?" And

"Why do you look like a tree?"

Ollie the wise old owl gave some advice to Gerry, and offered the suggestion, "Don’t tell anyone

anything about what I tell you."

Early next morning, with the sun rise Gerry the Giraffe hurried happily along his way back to Eden

Pond.

Hanna the stork couldn't resist asking Gerry the Giraffe in her nervous sounding voice, "What did

the wise owl tell you?"

\Now it was Gerry the giraffe's turn to make a joke, and he stretched his neck straight, nose pointed

to sky as if didn't hear what's being said, and did not reply.

Zippity the bluebird chirps in, "You know what?" Gerry smiled and said nothing.

Tinsy the ant tries to get into the act and shouts, "What's new?"

Gerry lowers his head very slowly all the way to ground level, looking directly in Tinsy's eyes.

"What's new? The snow snew!" The same joke Tinsy had made yesterday.

All the Special Eden Creatures celebrated, and to this day live together as one happy family.

2 The Monkey

At the Meeting Center with Mickey the monkey This is a story about a friendly monkey whose name is Mickey. Mickey the monkey lives in a special

place called Eden Forest. A group of Special Eden Creatures live there around Eden Pond. Mickey

the monkey is usually very happy; jumps a lot and plays, but he has a slight problem that bothers

him.

Early, one cloudy autumn morning Mickey the monkey went for a stroll in Eden Forest. As time passed,

Mickey noticed dark gray storm clouds weaving their way through the skies. A drizzle begins to

fall and Mickey hollers, "What’s that?! Is it going to rain? What can I do? Where can I go? Does

anybody here enjoy that loud thunder?"

As he approaches Eden Pond, Mickey meets up with Zippity the bluebird, and they continue the journey

together.

Zippity the bluebird felt bad for Mickey, the monkey and tells him, "I know just how you feel. I once

felt terrible because I hadn't learned to fly, but my whole life changed for the better once I overcame

my fears. I wish there was some way I could help you."

"You are helping me," said the Mickey the monkey: "A friend in need is a friend in deed." Upon their

arrival to Eden Pond, all the Special Eden Creatures joined Mickey and Zippity in the conversation.

"You should know," Deborah the bee interjected patiently, "We have a lot of fruit trees nearby and you

can live in any tree you want. You'll have to get used to the rain and thunder, we all need water to

live."

Mickey the monkey, explained, "It's hard to believe, but ever since I was a child, whenever the drops

started to come down I would jump from tree to tree in order to avoid a drop falling on me. Even

though that the rains fall everywhere at once!"

Debby the bee tried to encourage Mickey the monkey, "Thunder is like drums announcing a lot of

happiness to the world."

Gerry the giraffe, who usually kept his neck straight, bends down until he is eye level with Mickey the

monkey, "I have an idea for you," he offers. Excitedly happy, all the Special Eden Creatures joined

Gerry and say in unison, "Go to the one creature who knows everything; Ollie the Wise Old Owl."

3 The Monkey

appearance. As Ollie stretched his wings, he heard a burst of

thunder. "How nice," he remarked gleefully. "It looks like we have

a rainstorm on the horizon. The fruits are going to fill up with their

juices."

Mickey the monkey looked at the Ollie, the wise old owl and thought

to himself, "He wants it to rain. How is he going to help me?"

The thunder is roaring and Mickey is so upset he's scratching his head and pacing back and forth. Right

away, Ollie noticed how upset Mickey seemed and asked: "Would you like to overcome your fear

of the rain?"

Mickey the monkey asked, "Can't I go to live where it never rains?"

Ollie the wise old owl gave some advice to Mickey the monkey, and offered the suggestion, "Don’t

tell anyone anything about what I tell you."

Bright and early the next morning we find Mickey and Zippity hurrying happily along their way back

to Eden Pond.

Jumping excitedly from tree to tree, Mickey the monkey hadn't told anybody the secret he had heard

for Ollie the owl. Mickey gathered together piles of twigs and leaves, and started to weave them

into a little succah (a hut) big enough for his monkey family.

The autumn had brought winter rains pouring out of the sky, but inside the succah hut it was dry and

comfortable. Mickey the monkey had finally settled down.

As the years went by the Mickey the monkey was seen playing a game outside in the rain, with his

children: jumping between raindrops and catching them in their mouths! "We're soaking wet,"

scream the children in delight.

The Special Eden Creatures all joined in the rain dance.

1 The Frog

At the Meeting Center with Frieda the Frog

This is a story about a frog whose name is Frieda. Frieda the frog lives in Eden Forest, a very special

place in which lived the Special Eden Creatures around Eden Pond. Frieda is an especially

beautiful frog with green skin and dark spots in many different shapes. Unfortunately, Frieda the

frog was unable to croak like the rest of her family members.

One lovely summer day Frieda comes hopping along Eden Pond and sees the Special Eden Creatures

She quickly jumps over to join in conversation with her friends Zippity the bluebird, Chana the

stork, and Mickey the monkey. They seem quite satisfied with their situation, whereas Frieda is

very worried about the fact she is not exactly like other frogs.

Mickey the monkey asks Frieda, "Is everything all right with you?"

Frieda gathers her courage and answers, "I have a problem. Do you think you can help me?"

Mickey shrugs his shoulders and says, "We'll be happy to help you, each and every one of us have

had problems we succeeded to overcome."

Chana the stork nodded her head in agreement.

It is no easy task to unburden our hearts, but Frieda the frog decided to tell her friends the problem

she is faced with. "No matter how hard I try, I simply cannot croak. I've tried everything and

nothing came of my efforts."

"Excuse me," interrupts Chana the stork, but I've noticed that many frogs have a difficulty with

croaking. You have to keep trying. Take heart young frog!"

Zippity the bluebird suggests, "You shouldn't let that bother you. You can speak very nicely."

Frieda became impatient, "That's not good enough for me. You learned to fly," she says to the

Zippity, and Mickey already plays outside when it rains," says frog to the bluebird.

Zippity and Mickey nodded their heads and both said, "We understand exactly how you feel."

"Do you, really understand? I want to be like the rest of my family, and croak just like all the other

frogs of the world," said Frieda.

Gerry the giraffe, who usually kept his neck straight, bends down until he is eye level with Frieda the

frog, "I have an idea for you," he offers. Excitedly happy, all the Special Eden Creatures joined

Gerry and say in unison, "Go to the one creature who knows everything; Ollie the Wise Old

Owl."

the Special Eden Creatures were preparing to go to sleep.

2 The Frog

The Wisdom of the Elders and Frieda the Frog

Ollie, the Wise Owl made lived in an oak tree more than three

hundred years old whose branches stretch towards the heights of

the sky. Woody the woodpecker pecked steps into the thick bark,

and a deep hole in which Ollie made his home. "Good evening,"

calls Frieda, and hops up the steps and waited patiently branch

until Ollie would notice her. The owl made his appearance with the first twinkling of the stars.

Ollie, the wise old owl came out, stretched his wings. Ollie

heard the sound of Frieda's voice and immediately understood

her problem, "Do you want to sing and croak like the rest of

your family?"

Frieda excitedly replies, "Of course, there's nothing I want more,

can you tell me how I can achieve that."

Ollie the wise old owl gave some advice to Tzippy, and

suggested, "Don’t tell anyone anything about what I tell you."

The next morning, Mickey the monkey and Frieda the frog hurried happily along their way back to

Eden Pond.

It was no easy task to learn something new after so many years of not being able to croak. "All

beginnings are difficult," states Pearl in her heart, but truly believing it's really possible.

Frieda turns to ask Pearl the parakeet, "You learned to copy the talk of everyone here." Parakeets

have a special characteristic of being able to repeat everything they hear. Would you be willing

to give me speaking lessons?"

"There's no time like the present," responded Pearl, "come on, let's get started. Don't be upset if you

don't get it right all at once.""

Pearl and Frieda continued their lesson until the middle of the afternoon, as Ollie the owl had

suggested, with pleasant feeling and lots of patience.

Frieda takes a deep breath and as if all of a sudden, let out a quiet croak, but immediately repeats

the effort and lets out a croak that sounded like thunder. Fried was full of gratitude and thanked

Penina profusely, "You're aa great teacher, Penina!"

As our story comes to a close we see Frieda joining the Special Eden Creatures, "Listen to me

everybody, I'm croaking! Nee nee, deep deep, nee deep, nee deep!"

All the Special Eden Creatures tried croaking with sounds from deep within their stomachs, while

laughing their heads off.

1 The Ant

At the Meeting Center This is a story about a hard working ant whose name is Tinsy. Tinsy the ant lives in a special place

called Eden Forest. A group of Special Eden Creatures live there around Eden Pond. Tinsy the

ant is talented and goes about her responsibility with a great deal of strength. Tinsy organizes

the work shifts of her family members. "The work never stops for an instant." Behind Tinsy a

long line of worker ants ready to do whatever she's said they must achieve. "Come, it's time we

gather enough food to last us the winter."

One autumn day, strong winds succeeded to blow a grape right in front of Tinsy's castle. "Okay

come quickly everybody, let's drag that grape to our underground storage room before

somebody else gets the same idea."

Deborah the bee also loved the special grapes that grew in Eden Forest, so a competition

developed between them. "Get away from here, Tinsy the ant," threatens Deborah the bee.

"You won't come anywhere close to my grape. "BzZz BzZz," buzzes Deborah the bee, and in

another second there's a lot of bees gathered around her. "Whisk and flap your wings, so they'll

go back in their cavern," she commands the worker bees.

Tinsy tried to calm down the gathering of ants. "Might does not make right. We need to take the

grape without disturbing Deborah the bee."

Deborah the bee is speaking to encourage the worker bees. "It is our responsibility to bring nectar

to your queen."

The Special Eden Creatures were astonished by what they see going on between friends from

Eden Forest. Frieda the frog is upset, "We are very unhappy about this. What!? Does Eden

Forest lack for grapes? "

"Exactly," responds Tinsy the ant. "The grapes are perfect because they become raisins and we

can eat them the whole winter. Maybe someone can advise us how to solve the problem!"

Pearl the parakeet retorts, "We, the Special Eden Creatures always offer to support one another.

Why is life nice? Because we live like members of a family."

Gerry the giraffe, who usually kept his neck straight, bends down until he is eye level with Tinsy

the ant, "I have an idea for you," he offers. Excitedly happy, all the Special Eden Creatures

joined Gerry and say in unison, "Go to the one creature who knows everything; Ollie the Wise

Old Owl."

Pearl the parakeet escorted Tinsy hoping they'd arrived the oak where Ollie made his home just

about sunset. The Special Eden Creatures were getting ready for bed.

2 The Ant

The Wisdom of the Elders

Ollie the wise old owl lived in an oak tree was more

than three hundred years old that rose high into the

sky. Woody the woodpecker had carved steps into

the thick bark, and a hole for Ollie's house.

"Anyone home?" asks Tinsy. She waited patiently

until Ollie the owl would take notice of her. Ollie, the wise old owl came out, stretched his wings,

took a look at Tinsy and immediately knew what's

bothering her. "Not easy to feed one's children, is

it?"

Ollie the wise old owl gave some advice to Tinsy and

suggested, "Don’t tell anyone anything about what I tell you."

Tinsy the ant had no doubt whatsoever that Ollie the

wise old owl had told her the right thing to do.

With sunrise on the morrow Tinsy and Pearl returned happily along the way back to Eden Pond.

"We must get organized if we want to bring that lovely grape into our castle," Tinsy announces to

the Tunnel's Work Crew. "Aren't we able to chew, grind, and dig our way through the earth to

exactly where the grape is? We'll do that without getting Deborah the bee upset!"

Tinsy straightens herself from toe to her neck, raises her head, and strides forth forwards. Even

though she could hear buzzing above ground it caused her no bother. "Get organized and go

forth," she shouts to the ants who dig tunnels, "that grape also belongs to us."

This was a huge task, but it's the nature of ants to organize their work. They dug and dragged dirt

until arriving exactly under the juicy grape. The ant family was very excited. Suddenly the big

grape fell into the hole they had prepared for that purpose. It was perfect, "we've succeeded in

our mission, part of the grape is above the ground, and a good part of suspended from the roof

of the cavern. Let's not waste any time."

At that very moment, Devorah the Queen Bee started eating the same grape, above ground, as

though nothing had happened. Oliver the Wise Old Owl and the Special Eden Creatures from

around Eden Pond clapped danced, and burst out in happiness beyond description.

1 The Caterpillar

At the Meeting Center with Zach the Caterpillar This is a story about a caterpillar whose name is Zach. Zach the caterpillar

lives in a special place called Eden Forest. A group of Special Eden

Creatures live around Eden Pond. Caterpillars have many legs and crawl

from place to place very slowly. Zach the caterpillar had hardly gone

anywhere in his whole life.

Winter was at its end and the fragrance of spring in the air. Zach was hiding behind a leaf in a

blueberry bush. The Special Eden Creatures had gathered for lunch. Suddenly, they heard a sound

like a whimper.

Pearl the parakeet started jumping wildly and shouts, "I hear an unusual squeak."

"Hush," urges Hanna the stork. "Everybody be quiet so we can figure where it's coming from!

Somebody is weeping. Over there," she points to the blueberry bush.

Mickey the monkey moves some branches and leaves on the blueberry bush. "Guess what I see! A

caterpillar is nibbling away at flowers from the blueberry bush. Tears are streaming from his

eyes. "

The Special Eden Creatures were concerned about a caterpillar crying, and wanted to help. Hanna the

stork says, "Springtime brings many changes to nature."

Mickey the monkey adds, "Buds of plants will soon become flowers, and there'll be no lack of what

to eat."

Zach pours out his heart, "and I will have to undergo a drastic change in my life. After only a month

since I grew from an egg, I'm supposed to wind myself up in a cocoon, and I can't figure out why

that has to be."

Tinsy the ant is deeply moved and comes close and tries to encourage Zach, "That sounbs truly sad,

but; you know, not one from amongst our group hasn't had to deal with the burdens of life. Be

strong and have courage, everything always works out in the end."

Gerry the giraffe, who usually kept his neck straight, bends down until he is eye level with Mickey

the monkey, "I have an idea for you," he offers. Excitedly happy, all the Special Eden Creatures

joined Gerry and say in unison, "Go to the one creature who knows everything; Ollie the Wise

Old Owl."

Ollie the owl sleeps all day. He can see far into the distance with his big round eyes. Owls have a

very special hoot that can be heard everywhere in Eden Forest. Ollie the wise old owl always asks

many questions. "Who?", "when?", "where?", "what?", and "why?" He always knows exactly

what to do in every situation.

Chana the stork offered to escort Zach the caterpillar to Ollie's old oak in a hope to get there before

the setting of the sun." The rest of the Special Eden Creatures were bedding down to sleep.

2 The Caterpillar

The Wisdom of the Elders and Joy the Caterpillar

Ollie, the wise old owl lived in a very thick oak tree, more than three hundred years old, that

rose high into the sky. Woody the woodpecker had carved steps into the thick bark and a

hole for Ollie's house, into the trunk of the old oak tree. Zach the caterpillar asks a

question, "Anybody home?" He waited patiently on the branch until Ollie would notice him.

Oliver the wise old owl woke up just as the stars stared to shine, stretched his wings, legs,

and back; and started into his day's work. "What’s this we have here? A caterpillar, this must be lucky day. Caterpillars are very special," he explained to Zach.

"What is so special about being a caterpillar?" Zach complained. "It takes us so long to get

anywhere. All my life I've been wanting to drink some water from Eden Pond," she protested.

Oliver the owl had to hold back his laughter, and then he gave Zach an idea. "And I suggest that you keep that secret and believe it in your heart until it comes true."

As a slight ray of light breaks through the darkness, Zach the caterpillar and Chana the stork

hurry happily along their way back to Eden Pond. Upon their return, Zach and Chana each

went their own ways. "I appreciate everything you did for me. Well, this is goodbye - or should I say, fare thee well until we meet again!"

Zach crawls unto a comfortable branch and weaves a cocoon around himself.

The Special Creatures stood there in awe as they watched. Almost a month later the cocoon

suddenly splits open and an amazing Monarch-butterfly is flapping its wings. Zach the

butterfly ponders the question, "Where are my six legs? What are these wings?" WOW!

I've changed into a butterfly. That's what called the good old age with which I was

blessed."

Zach the butterfly is flying above the Special Eden Creatures heads, bursting with joy and

doing somersaults. He calls gladly, "Hello, hey there, shalom. How are you?" They were

awed by a beautiful butterfly dancing before their very eyes, but they didn't know who this new creature is.

Gerry the giraffe, who was about the height of the butterfly, asked him. "Who are you? Do we know you from someplace?"

Zach the butterfly laughed and said merrily, "It's me, Zach! I was

a caterpillar until I broke out of the cocoon, and now I'm a

butterfly.

When the Special Creatures realized what this fantastic sight was

all about they broke into joyously jumping and dancing.

Zach suddenly remembered something very important, "The first

thing I must fulfill my life's dream to drink water from Eden Pond

ציפי הציפור ענתה בלעג, "מה מה מה? תפוח אדמה!" שוכני יער עדן צחקו בקול. גבי שמע זאת והשתנק. בכדי להימנע מן הבושה גבי הרים את עיניו שמימה ונשם נשימה עמוקה לאורך צווארו.

חסידה על רגל אחד עומד באגם צועקת לצפרדע וגירף עומד ראשו העלי העת למעלה תמונה:

עדן היו באמת רגישים לצערו של גבי ורצו לעזור לו.שוכני יער

כולם חשבו על אותו רעיון והשתופפו כל אחד בקול אחד, "עליך ללכת ליאיר הינשוף החכם והישיש שיודע "הכל.

יאיר ינשוף חכם והישיש נוהג לנוח במשך היום. יש לו עיניים גדולות ועגולות והוא צופה ומביט למרחק. ויש

ג'ירף צוואר ישר אף לכיוון שמים, זורק מבט כלפי מעלה. ליד חסידה, ציפור ונמלה מושכים צומי תמונה:

גבי מוריד צווארו בצורה איטית עד לגובהה עיניה של עדינה הנמלה, וענה לשלושתן, מה מה מה תפוח אדמה.

ועד היום חיים כמשפחת אחד גדולה ושמחה. שוכני היער חגגו,

ג'ירפה, ושוכני יער עדן כולם מתגלגלים בצחוק ונה:תמ

הקוףעם קובי במרכז המפגשים

זהו סיפור על קוף ששמו קובי. קובי הקוף מתגוררת ביער עדן, מקום קסום שבו מתגוררים שוכני יער עדן מסביב

לאגם עדן. קובי קוף מלא שמחת חיים שאהב לקפוץ ולשחוק. אבל יש לא בעיה מסוימת שמפריע לו.

לעננים האפורים המטיילים בשמיים. ביום סתווי ומעונן, קובי הקוף יצא לטיול ביער עדן. אט אט קובי שם לב

כאשר התחיל טפטוף של גשם קובי שאל בבכי "מה זה?" הוא צורח, "הבאים גשמים? מה אני יכול לעשות?

לאן אוכל ללכת? מישהו פה נהנה מרעמים המרעשים האלה?"

בדרכו לאגם עדן פגש קובי הקוף את ציפי הציפור, והמשיכו ללכת ביחד.

וציפי הציפור צועדים ביער ליד אגם ברקע. קובי מבט כלפי מעלה לענניםקובי הקוף תמונה:

ציפי הצטערה על מצב של קובי הקוף. "אני מכירה בדיוק איך שאתה מרגיש. אני פעם הרגשתי רע מאוד מכיוון

". מאז שהגברתי על פחדיי." חבל שפשוט אין לי דרך לעזור לך שלא ידעתי לעוף, אבל כל חיי השתנו לטובה

כשהגיעו לאגם עדן, שאר שוכני יער עדן "את כן עוזרת לי", אמר קובי הקוף. "חבר בעת הצורך הוא חבר אמיתי".

הצטרפו לשיחתם של קובי וציפי.

"תדע," הוסיף דבי הדבורה בחביבות, "יש לנו בסביבה הרבה עצי פרי ואתה יכול להתיישב בכל עץ שתרצה.

ולנו צריכים מים היורדים מהשמים."תצטרך להתרגל לגשמים ולרעמים, כ

לפתע חבורת שוכני יער עדן שומעים סופות רעמים וברקים שהבזיקו בעוצמה למעלה בשמיים.

קובי הקוף הסביר, "קשה להאמין, אבל מאז שהייתי ילד, כאשר נופלים טפות גשם, אני קפוץ מעץ לעץ, כדי לנסות

"יורדים בכל מקום.להתחמק מן הטפה המכוונת אלי. כשבאים, הגשמים

דבי הדבורה ניסתה לתמוך בקובי הקוף, "רעשים גדולים של רעמים הם כמו תופים המקדימים להכריז על שמחה

לעולם."

גבי הג'ירף שבדרך כלל זקוף, כפף את צווארו הארוך, והוריד ראשו עד שעיניו היו בגובה העינים של קובי הקוף.

ברנה ובצהלה כל שוכני יער עדן השתופפו כל אחד בקול אחד, "עליך ללכת "יש לי רעיון בשבילך," מנדב גבי.

ליאיר הינשוף החכם והישיש שיודע הכל."

ענפיו טיפסו גבוה עד השמים. מקס המנקר נקר מדרגות מקליפתו העבה,

וחרט חור בתוך הגזע עצמו ששימש לביתו של יאיר הינשוף. "שלום?!"

אומר קובי, וחיכה בסבלנות עד שיאיר ישים לב אליו. עם שקיעת השמש

שוף מתעורר משנתו.הינ

עם שקיעת השמש הינשוף מתעורר משנתו. הינשוף החכם והישיש מתח ופשט

גשמים את כנפיו וכשהוא שם לב לרעמים אמר בשמחה, "כנראה יש סופת

באופק, יזכו הפרות להתמלא במיץ עסיסי."

הוא הרי מרוצה מן הגשם, ואם כן "הקוף הסתכל על הינשוף וחשב בראשו,

יעזור לי?איך הוא

על ענף מתישב וביקינשוך ליד חור בגזע ומנקר לידו ולא רחוק תמונה:

הרעמים שואגים בשמים וקובי הקוף חסר מנוחה מגרד בראשו ופוסע הלוך ושוב. הינשוף כפי מנהגו יוצא מפתח

ם?"ביתו ומיד שם לב כי קובי הקוף חסר מנוחה ושואל: "היית רוצה להתגבר על פחדיך מן הגשמי

קובי הקוף שואל אותו, "האם לא אוכל ללכת לגור במקום שבו לא ירד גשם?"

למחרת מוקדם בבוקר ציפי הציפור וקובי הקוף הזדרזו בחזרה בתוך שמחה בדרכם לחזור אל אגם עדן.

לאין סוף וקצת שמיחה בר יבשה פה ושםמבט של מדבר תמונה:

מבלי לגלות את הסוד שאמר לו הינשוף. קובי אסף כל מיני קנים 'בקפיצות עליזות קופץ קובי הקוף מעץ לעץ

קטנים ועלים והתחיל לשרוג ולבנות מהם סוכה נחמדה, גדולה מספיק לכל בני משפחתו.
