AdBlue® is a trade name of aqueous urea solution. This re-agent converts

harmful nitrous oxides into harmless nitrogen and water.

Because AdBlue® is highly susceptible to contamination, tanks must be made of special

materials. Recommendations for the specifications have been issued

by the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) in accordance with ISO22241

standards.

What isAdBlue®?

SCR stands for Selective Catalytic Reduction, a method of catalytic

conversion which turns harmful exhaust fumes into naturally occuring,

harmless substances.

The automotive industry introduced SCR technology for diesel-powered

trucks in order to meet the regulations arising from EURO 4/5 & 6 legislation.
