    Wedding veil

    A common superstition at weddings is the veil of the bride, this piece is a symbol of purity or a sign

    of the religious beliefs of the bride. The veil also symbolizes the tradition of protecting the eyes

    bride groom. It was considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.

    The origin of this superstition is in Rome, it is said that a bridal veil used to ward off evil spirits and

    were intended to conceal the face of the bride to the forces of evil dont recognize.

    I think it's a romantic garment. The groom depart the veil of the bride at the time to kiss the bride.

    Covering Mirrors During Shiva

    Shiva is part of the Jewish process of mourning after a loved one has died. It is usually a period ofseven days during which no usual activities are undertaken. During this time, it is appropriate for

    mirrors in the house to be covered with cloths or sheets. The reason for this is that those who

    mourn should not be concerned with their appearance, but only dwell on the sad loss of the

    person who passed away.

    The origin of this superstition is uncertain, but its practice is appropriate for mourning.
