CIDB Malaysia has awarded TECHNOFIT Sdn Bhd the highest SCORE rating (five stars out of a scale of five), a one of among only 10 Malaysian c o m p a n i e s t o ach ieve the bes t practice, capacity and capability in the local construction industry.

T h e C a p a b i l i t i e s C a p a b i l i t y Assessment Program Contractors (SCORE) i s deve loped by CIDB Malaysia, in collaboration with SME Corp, to assess

the capac i ty and capability of local c o n t r a c t o r s i n M a l a y s i a a n d t o enhance the image of the construction i n d u s t r y i n accordance with the requirements of the Construction Industry M a s t e r P l a n o r Construction Industry Master Plan (CIMP).

T h e S C O R E programme that was launched in 2008 is

an ongoing effort by CIDB Malaysia to raise the profile of the local construction industry and provide a b a s i s f o r t h e d e v e l o p m e n t o f Malaysian contractors by identifying areas for improvement.

The assessment is c o n d u c t e d e v e r y year, to promote competition among contractors and to e n a b l e t h e m t o

determine the level of performance and g r o w t h o f t h e company through the comparison of the results of each annual SCORE released.

Under the SCORE Programme, CIDB-r e g i s t e r e d c o n s t r u c t i o n c o m p a n i e s a r e a s s e s s e d o n parameters such as m a n a g e m e n t strength, technical expertise, business per formance and best practices.From 2009-2014, a total of 7,215 contractors have been assessed; l a s t y e a r , 3 , 2 0 2 c o n t ra c t o r s w e re assessed. H e a l t h , S a f e t y a n d Environment Day (HSE DAY) is a special program created by TECHNOFIT Health, Safety and Environment Department to give exposure to all staff especially who work at site regards the important of practising and implementing a good safety practice while performing job activities.

By knowing a right safety practice it will reduce the

number of accidents and also avoid any trouble happen. Part of it, this program also done to appreciate all the

e x c e l l e n c e s t a f f d u r i n g perform their work for project.

This program will do at each regional basis, and recently HSE DAY were take place at

Tanjung Bin site on 19th

October 2015 and all workers were invited to join this program. During this program , Excellence Award were also presented to workers with b e s t s a f e t y p r a c t i c e throughout the project.

Known that, Health Safety environment is crucial and vital to each organization, TECHNOFIT Health , Safety and Environment Department had manage to held a HSEMS awareness program called H e a l t h , S a f e t y a n d Environment Management System (HSEMS) Awareness.

This program was held to all new comers in TECHNOFIT, as it will exposed

t h e m w i t h a management system that b e i n g i m p l e m e n t i n TECHNOFIT. During this program, all participants were introduced to the HSEMS i m p l e m e n t a t i o n a n d documentation that have b e e n p r a c t i c e b y T E C H N O F I T . A l l o f participants were exposed to t h e H e a l t h , S a f e t y a n d Environment Management System vision and mission,

which “Excellence In Our Core Business Segment, fulfilling Beyond Clients Expectation”.

Also, all participants were introduced with four main policy , which are HSE Policy, Smoking Policy, Stop Work Policy and Alcohol & Drug Free Policy. By attending this program, all participants expected to perform their w o r k d i l i g e n t l y w i t h implementing a good health, sa fe ty and env i ronment practices at their working environment.

This event was done not solely to enjoy but also have own vision which is to create a good r e l a t i o n s h i p b e t w e e n employer and employee, also with the Central Region contract staff and vendor.

TECHNOFIT Energy Sdn Bhd, is one of TECHNOFIT subsidiaries, and focusing on electr ical project. Currently TECHNOFIT Energy implementing 5 five projects PMU Tasek Cement, PMU Kuala Ketil, PMU Lukut,PMU Chembong ,250MVA Spare transformer at PMU Ayer Tawar. Tasek Cement is expected to handover to TNB for testing in December 2015. The contract ends in February 2016 (extension o f t i m e t i l l F e b 2 0 1 6 ) . T E C H N O F I T E n e r g y h a v e completed the transformer erections, power cable and multicore cable have been laid. At Kuala Keti l , TECHNOFIT Energy have completed the lower gantry structure erections. Transformers are already on the plinths. Next is to erect the 275kv gantry and expected to complete in Dec 2015. At Lukut and Chembong, TECHNOFIT Energy will start the pilling works at both sites in Dec 2015 The 250MVA Spare Transformer erection at

Ayer Tawar is ongoing and expected to complete and handover by 30 November 2015.

I t ’ s a g r e a t n e w s f o r TECHNOFIT and another a c h i e v e m e n t a s a n e n g i n e e r i n g s e r v i c e s provider. Finally we owned a crawler crane to ease our work at site and shows our commitment to give the best service to our regular and potential client.

W i t h t h i s n e w c r a n e , TECHNOFIT will provide edge in project bidding or executing by having own crane fleet as high costs associated. TECHNOFIT will be able to deliver projects i n v o l v i n g h ea v y l i f t i n g without having to heavily be reliant on the rental services of crane supplier.

In addition, TECHNOFIT can p r o v i d e a s s u r a n c e t o potential cl ients during p ro j e c t n e g o t i a t i o n a s TECHNOFIT having own cranes would prove to be more capable of delivering performance.

The crawler crane 135 Tonne was imported from Japan and it has been purchased on last June 2015.

Nowadays, I.T Division (under T E C H N O F I T A d m i n | H R Department) has facing a lots of problem day by day especially

in HQ since TECHNOFIT has grown in high speed timely. T h i s i s s h o w n t h a t , o u r c o m p a n y ’ s b u s i n e s s i s expanding and I.T Division is expecting to receive some critical problem.

Hence, I.T Division come out with a solution to upgrade our p r e v i o u s s y s t e m , h o m e networking model to Domain System. This is to ensure I.T Division implements a fast solution and maintenance issue in future.

By change to domain system, it will give a lots of benefits, such as :

Workstations do not need to be reconfigured for new users Staff changes are easily accommodated Minimal setup to bring a new

workstation online Restriction to department and project folder can be applied easily to avoid long printing queue which pending the output.

In order to create awareness regards the system, I.T Division has organised a simple briefing session with the all HQ staff by partially and hope this new system implementation could help all staff to be more work effective and productive to deliver the task given.
