In Islam, the human body is a source of appreciation, as it is created by Almighty Allah (God).

How it functions, how to keep it clean and safe, how to prevent diseases from attacking it or

cure those diseases, have been important issues for Muslims. Ibn-e-Sina (d. 1037), better

known to the West as Avicenna, was perhaps the greatest physician until the modern era.

The famous book by Ibn-e-Sina, Al-Qanun fi al-Tibb, remained a standard textbook even in Europe, s", for over 700 years. Ibn Sina's work is still studied and built upon in the E a s t . Prophet Muhammad himself urged people to "take medicines for your diseases", as people at that time were reluctant to do so. He also said, ”God created no illness, except that He has es-tablished for it a cure, except for old age.

Fresh Cane Juice

Smile please!!!

A couple was having a heated argument

while going on a picnic. As the car passed

grazing cattle the wife pointed out to-

wards the animals and said :” see there,

those are your relatives”. The husband

replied: “ Yes, in-laws!”.

People suffering from sore throat, cold and flu are recom-mended cane juice, predominantly because of its preventive and healing benefits. Since cane juice is low in glycemic index, it helps in maintaining general good health. According to the latest study, the alkaline nature of sug-arcane juice is highly beneficial in pre-venting deadly breast and prostate cancers. One is recommended to drink a glass of sugar cane juice, when ex-posed to prolonged heat and physical activity. Since sugar cane juice is rich in carbohydrates, it refreshes and ener-gizes the body. Cane juice helps in the smooth functioning of kidneys and keeps the urinary flow clear. Sugar cane juice is a good substitute for aerated drinks. So, when you feel exhausted on a hot sunny day, drinking sugar cane juice would be highly beneficial. Sugar cane juice aids in fast recov-ery from jaundice. People drinking sugar cane juice on a regu-lar basis have low chances of getting infected with the prob-lem of diabetes. Cane juice is highly beneficial for people who are underweight, as it can help in gaining weight rapidly. Since sugar cane juice is rich in minerals including phosphorus, cal-cium, iron, magnesium and potassium, it should be consumed on a regular basis, especially during summer.

To stay cool in the burning days like everybody I would suggest you to have a chill with a few prelimi-nary adaptations. The body temperature is sub-ject to rise in order to keep it down to normal, drink a lot of water. It should be cooler but not freezed which might cap-ture your throat. The fact behind our increased thirst is the excessive loss of water from our body. The homeostatic machine we call body turns on its ex-haustive channels which help prevent the halting

of the internal systems by perspiring the skin by sweat. The people who have the remnants of

F.Sc in their minds know Joule Thompson effect. and that pre-cisely applies the same mechanism. Besides the increment in water intake take light meals, cold drinks, stay in shelter. But that does not mean you do nothing. It aims to keep you void of over UV-exposure

pertaining to the fact that Excess of every thing is bad. Use sunglasses, caps, umbrellas, scarves.

The risk of falling ill to summer flu and throat disease is common in this season. But don't worry Main Hun Na says Shahrukh Khan in his hit movie. Don’t forget to keep a bottle with you which I always miss to keep in my mind but you please make it a habit not forgetting but keeping the bottle. Speak light, stay sprightly even if you don't want to . Remember God loves the smile you pass on the sight of your brother, friend or colleague .

“Just call the sun and the sun is there”. No matter how much we resist the dread but it is in time always. The light which pleases in cold become all the more unbearable in Summers. Naturally a change comes to take us down to plains of sweat from the altitudes of shivers.

Accelerated hypertension is associated with headache, drowsiness, confusion, vision disorders, nausea, and vomiting symptoms. In children, hypertension can cause head-ache, fatigue, blurred vision, nosebleeds, and facial paralysis.. Initial assessment of

the hypertensive patient includes a complete history and physical examination. Diagnosis is being done by f o l l o w i n g m e t h o d s ; ”creatinine testing, electro-cardiogram testing, glucose testing…etc.” The main emphasis was on the preventions like, weight reduction, and regular aero-bic exercise (e.g., walking): , regular exercise improves

blood flow and helps to reduce blood pres-sure. Moreover, discontinuing tobacco use and alcohol consumption has been shown to lower blood pressure. It was clearly mentioned that reduction of the blood pressure by 5–6 mmHg can de-crease the risk of stroke by 40%, decrease the risk of heart disease by 15–20%, and reduce the likelihood of dementia, heart

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is ele-vated. To address this problem, the W.H.L initiated a global awareness cam-paign on hypertension in 2005 and dedi-cated May 17 of each year as world hyper-tension day (W.H.D). The world hyperten-sion league (W.H.L), an umbrella organiza-tion of 85 national hypertension societies and leagues, recog-nized that more than 50% of the hyperten-sive population world-wide is unaware of their condition. So, massive efforts are continued to create awareness about this. “King Edward medical University Lahore, Pakistan” is also playing an ap-preciable role by focusing on the causes and preventions of hypertension to make people aware about it. In this re-spect a seminar was conducted on 17 May 2010 at the auditorium of KEMU.

Each drug reduces systolic blood pressure by about 5–10 mmHg, so often multiple drugs are combined to achieve the goal blood pressure. The main objective was to highlight “stress reduction programs” such as, biofeedback, relaxation or meditation to reduce hy-pertension.

Poliomyelitis (polio, for short) is caused by a virus. The virus can be spread by drinking water with the polio virus in it. It can also be passed by close contact, such as kissing, with an infected person. Polio is a serious illness. It can cause paralysis (when you can't move your arms and legs) or even death. A vaccine is used to protect you from getting a disease. The polio vaccine, also called IPV, is given by injection (a "shot"). (It used to be given by drops in the mouth.) First dose when they are 2 months old. Second dose when they are 4 months old. Third dose when they are 6 to 18 months old. Last dose when they are 4 to 6 years old. Promote Polio Free Pakistan!

But it is highly un-usual though. Study it and think about it but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching! resigned from the Jama`at in April 1957 because of its involvement in the electoral politics, which he believed was irreconcilable with the revolutionary methodology adopted by the Jama'at in the pre-1947 period.Dr. Israr Ahmad first appeared on Pakistan Television in 1978 in a program called Al-Kitab; this was followed by other programs, known as Alif Lam Meem, Rasool-e-Kamil, Umm-ul-Kitab and the most popular of all religious programs in the history of Pakistan Tele-vision, the Al-Huda, which made him a household name throughout the country. His television lec-tures generally focused on the revitalization of the Islamic faith through studies of the Quran. Dr. Israr Ahmad also criticized modern democracy and the electoral system and argued that the head of an Islamic state can reject the majority decisions of an elected assembly. Although he did not like to receive it personally, Dr. Israr Ahmad was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 1981. He has to his credit over 60 Urdu books on topics related to Islam and Pakistan, 9 of which have been translated into English and other languages. A man that revolutionized the whole concept of khilafat, died, who was graduate of KEMU, but not a single person took notice.
