The CompetitionFirst (1st) Round

• Participants need to submit a report of their robot mentioning

all the construction details and photos/Videos of Robot.

(Deadline is March 15, 2017)

• Send your Reports at: https://goo.gl/forms/QAU4H2maxIyl9mfg2

• The report should include:

• Robot’s Mechanism, explained.

• Technical details and Novelty analysis.

• Photos of Robot (all 4 sides).

• A video (proof of robot’s fine & steady functioning).

• All team members details (Full Name, IEEE Number, Country,

University or Company Name).Photo credits: Pinterest

Second (2nd) Round

• Three (3) Selected Teams will compete in the finals to be

held during the 2017 IAS Annual Meeting.

• One (1) Member from each selected team will get the chance to

attend 2017 IAS Annual Meeting.

• Funded: Shared Accommodation, Conference Registration and

Travel Expenses (Travel Cost covered up to- USD 300 for IEEE

Region 1-7 and USD 800 for Region 8-10)

NOTE: Failure to demonstrate the robot in annual meet will result in non-reimbursement of travel. Teams are expected to come up with extra(backup) components, for unanticipated last minute technical glitches.

Rules & Regulations

• The maximum area provided for robot’s demonstration will be2x2 meters.

• Participants will be responsible for all materials requiredon-site for final contest demonstration.

• Teams are not supposed to use any readymade (e.g. Lego)components or readymade gripping mechanism. However, participants are allowed to use readymade gear assemblies.Such violations will lead to immediate team’sdisqualification.

• Robots must have an on-board power supply, at all times. Ifin case due to Airline policy you are not allowed to bringyour batteries, you can request that the organizer arrangesthem for you. (Battery’s Technical details should beincluded in the report submission).
