FISICA:
• The Scientific Program will be structured around the following topics:
• Heavy and Superheavy Elements • QCD and Hadron Physics • Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions • Nuclear Structure • Nuclear Energy and Applications of Nuclear Science and

APPLICATION: ISODEC Experiment: Study and comparison of the decay mode
of 78Kr + 40Ca and 86Kr + 48Ca systems at 10 AMeV
The ISODEC : to study the competition among different disintegration modes of medium
mass compound nuclei formed by fusion processes- isospin dependence of their decay
modes. information on fundamental nuclear quantities such as level density, fission barrier
or viscosity, symmetry energy. This experiment complements the results of previous
experiment at lower energy realized at GANIL with INDRA detector.

DE/E and PSD in Si
in progress
Preliminary results show a different isotopic composition
and relative enrichment for the same Z in the two
systems. The yields of the Intermediate Mass Fragments
(3<Z<12) exhibits a strong even-odd staggering, that is
more pronounced for the n-poor system.
The observed differences are very likely due to the role of
the N/Z degree of freedom on the decay channels.
Comparisons with theoretical models (GEMINI,
GEMINI++, DNS) are in progress in order to estimate the
influence of structural effects during the separation
phase in asymmetric fission.
• Illustration of typical performances of the identification methods adopted in the CHIMERA detector, including the recent upgrade of PSD techniques, based on the hardware determination of the rise time of signals induced by particles that are stopped in the silicon detector .(Nuclear Physics News, 22:1, 25-30 (2012))
