Create a study space within your dorm, home or residence. You can train yourself to study!

Take time to discover the meaning behind a concept!› Don’t just re-read your notes. Read your

textbook, do some practice problems, or see your professor to truly understand an idea.

› Just because you recognize a concept does not mean you can recall the information behind it!

Adequate sleep is not a suggestion!› It is mandatory for consolidation and

memory retention

Immediately after class, review, summarize, or give depth to your notes

Ask the professor questions!› Don’t just say, “I don’t get it.” Go into

depth on what you do not understand. Teach someone else to reinforce what
