OUR PEDIATRIC PROGRAM Established in 2005, ESPT clinicians are
experienced in treating pediatric patients with congenital, traumatic, and sports-injury musculoskeletal and neurological diagnoses such as: Cerebral Palsy Torticollis MD / SMA Orthotics & Prosthetics Training Arthrogryposis Spina Bifida Prader-Willi Cervical & Lumbar pain Post-surgical Orthopedic conditions And more.

Post-Botox Serial Casting UE & LE
Developmental Delay Assessments Alberta Infant Motor Scale (AIMS). Peabody Developmental Motor Scale – 2nd Edition
(PDMS-2).
SUCCESS STORIES 5yr old w/ Spina Bifida & DD Before PT:
- Manual WC- Reverse-walker (unable to use
secondary to LE deformity & weakness)
Started PT at 3 yrs of age. - Bilateral LE tibial torsion
identified at PT. Referred patient to Orthopedic MD for surgical correction.
- PT’s suggested bilateral LE orthotics (ground-rxn-force—pictured here).
- Aggressive PT Results
- Ambulates w/o DME assistance.- No longer needs WC.- Now using SMO’s (shorter
orthotics than those pictured here)
- Attending PT for dynamic standing balance training for functional skills such as ascending / descending curbs without support.
SUCCESS STORIES 5 yr old w/ CP and DD Before PT:
- Manual WC- Reverse-walker ambulation in
crouched position on tiptoes.- Decreased flexibility of bilateral LE
muscles—contractures. Started PT at 3 yrs of age.
- Neurologist for Botox injections to LE’s followed by serial casting at our clinic.
- Orthopedic surgical intervention to bilateral upper leg muscles.
- Aggressive PT. Results
- Post-Botox serial casting at our clinic prevented lower leg surgical intervention.
- Ambulates w/o DME assistance.- No longer needs WC.- Now only using AFO’s- Attending PT for dynamic standing
balance training for functional skills such as ascending / descending curbs without support.
SUCCESS STORIES 5 yr old w/ CP and DD Before PT:
- Decreased flexibility of bilateral LE muscles—contractures.
- Severe crouched-walking on tiptoes.
- AFO’s at bilateral LE’s. Started PT at 3 yrs of age.
- Neurologist for Botox injections to LE’s followed by serial casting at our clinic.
- Aggressive PT. Results
- Post-Botox serial casting at our clinic prevented lower leg surgical intervention.
- Ambulates w/o AFO’s (orthotics).
- Age appropriate gross motor skills.
- Ready for discharge and starting team soccer play with sisters.
