Sorbenty Kuzbassa attracted investors for the implementation of their project

Thanks to an agreement with the production cooperative Vtorpolimer, Sorbenty Kuzbassa attracted 2 million rubles for participation in START for 5% of the company’s capital stock.

The main activity of Sorbenty Kuzbassa is the scientific-technical and innovative design, development and manufacture of high quality carbon materials - nano-structured adsorbents for gas separation. With our carbon molecular sieves, we can obtain pure hydrogen (from gas synthesis), passing concentrated methane and separating high purity nitrogen.

The Nature of the Innovation

The global market for carbon sorbents is more than $ 1 billion. According to BCC Research, by 2016 the market size is forecast to be about $ 3 billion. The industrial gas market in Europe is $ 2.2 billion, and the market size for Russian gas is 15-20 billion rubles.

Unikat concluded an agreement with British Petroleum onthe establishment of a center of applied research to developenergy-efficient technologies in production and transportation of oil.

The cooperation agreement between BP and Skolkovo aimed at the implementation of this project was signed in late 2011, in Moscow. The total cost of the project over three years is about 400 million rubles. According to the agreement, BP will finance the implementation of his order in the amount of 60 million rubles in 2013.

The Center for Applied Research’s Heat transfer and catalysis, UNIKhIT project is being created for research and development of advanced technologies and technical solutions to increase the efficiency and utilization of thermal energy in the oil and gas processing industry, chemical industry and energetics. The Center for Applied Research has 12 projects.

NeuroMax successfully completed research for a drug for diabetic neuropathy

The goal of NeuroMax is to develop and market innovative products for diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. NM-IA-001 (BNV-222) is a blocker of the enzyme aldose reductase nizmolekulyarny and contributes to a significant slowdown in the flow of diabetic neuropathy.


The planned drug NM-IA-001 is the first and only Russian drug intended for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy pathogenesis. Preclinical studies of NM-IA-001 showed high efficiency and a significant slowing of the disease.

Over the past 30 years the number of people with diabetes in the world increased two-fold, from 171 million (1980) to 347 million (2008). Even if we assume that the incidence of diabetes will not increase, by 2030 the number of patients will be no less than 530 million, and the global diabetes care market is about $ 490 billion
