Introduction

Activities are spread throughout the borough at sports centres, parks, schools and community centres. Sessions are open to children and young people of all abilities unless specified.

There’s lots of Olympic and Paralympic sports - they are identified by a torch symbol

Special PromotionFor every parent that books their child on to the full week Play Scheme at Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre, they will receive one drop in

session to the term time programme at the centre. They will also be automatically put into a prize draw and have the chance to win a free 10 week course of their choice.

Brent Council’s Sports and Parks Service are pleased to welcome you to the Summer 2011 holiday sports programme. It’s packed full of fun and exciting activities which offers something for everyone. The programme runs from Monday 25 July to Friday 26 August.

Things to remember when attending activities:

• all necessary equipment is provided by the Sports and Parks Service• you must wear suitable clothing and footwear for the activity – this includes

a water proof jacket for any outdoor sessions• no refreshments or food will be provided, so please remember to bring your

own non fizzy drinks and a packed lunch/snacks if required• parents/carers should inform the Sports and Parks Service if their child is

unable to attend a booked session• all sessions are led by experienced and qualified coaches and instructors• and unless stated

otherwise, are open to boys and girls of all ages and abilities

• please bring suncream for outdoor activities if the weather is hot and wear a hat

• please refer to the website for the terms and conditions

How to Book

To book your place you first need to fill in the booking form.

The easiest way to pay is by booking over the phone – you won’t need to leave the house or pay for postage. Just call Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre on 020 8397 3730 Monday to Friday 8am – 9pm, Saturday 8am – 5pm and Sundays 8am – 8pm. All major credit/debit cards are accepted. Please make sure you have your card details ready to hand when you call.

When paying over the phone you will need to bring your booking form with you to the first session.

You can also pay in person at the centre or post your booking form by sending it with your payment (cheques made payable to London Borough of Brent and please ensure that the cheque guarantee number is written on the back of the cheque) to Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre.

Brent Council invites you to join us in celebrating one year to go to the start of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games on Saturday 23 July 2011 where Bridge Park Community Centre will be holding a ‘Games’ inspired Open Day from 12-6pm. There will be a range of exciting activities for you to get involved in from urban fashion design, a roller disco and much more, all for free!This event is part of the London 2012 Open Weekend celebrations marking the official countdown to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Week 3

Brent Sports and Parks Service have organised a year long round of tennis courses for everyone!

The courses last 6 weeks each and we have sessions for beginners/improvers, children/adults. Every 6 weeks we’re at a new location in the

borough, visiting another one of Brent’s best tennis courts. All courses are delivered by fully qualified and CRB checked coaches.

The best thing of all is the courses are only £20 for adults and £15 for

children (under 16’s) which works out to as little as £2.50-£3.33 per lesson!

Summer University, which is coordinated by Brent Youth and Connexions Service is a great way for 11-25 years olds to take on new challenges.
