Education classes, seminars, workshops, and camps offer a variety of opportunities for cultural, educational, and life-enriching activities for

July 8-18 // Grades 1-8Junior Engineering IJuly 8-118 am - 11 amSouthArk CFWD East CampusFee: $139.00

Great hands-on learning and building. Students will creatively build and modify machines through basic engineering skills using the All About Learning LEGO® kits.This class is open to students going into grades 1-3.

Models built: race car, windmill, merry-go-round, levers/pliers, pulley/crane.

Concepts covered: basic engineering principles, simple machines, forces in motion, problem solving, and communication skills.

Junior Engineering IIJuly 15-188 am - 11 amSouthArk CFWD East CampusFee: $139.00

Students will build projects of a slightly higher complexity using gears and motion from the unique All About Learning LEGO® kits. This course is a must for students who enjoyed Jr. Engineering I (although JE1 is not required). This class is for students going into grades 1-3.

Models built: car and trailer, go-round, seesaw, oil well drill, snow plow, catapult, ferris wheel, headstand car, motorcycle, ping pong ball thrower, tower, tricycle.

Concepts covered: basic engineering principles, gears and gear ratios, simple machines, forces in motion, problem solving, and communication skills.

Vehicle EngineeringJuly 8-111:30 pm - 4:30 pmSouthArk CFWD East CampusFee: $139.00

Students will build up to 13 different motorized vehicles capped off with a final project using the All About Learning LEGO® kits. Vehicles include everyday vehicles, concept cars, construction machines, and more. This class is for students going into grades 4-8.

Models built: adjustable crane, flipper car, inch worm car, motorcycle, motorized wheel chair, rally race car, space wars vehicle, steam roller, scissors car, submarine.

Concepts covered: basic engineering principles, gearing and gear ratios, electric motors and energy, friction, forces, motion, aerodynamics, problem solving, and communication skills.

Collision CarsJuly 15-181:30 pm - 4:40 pmSouthArk CFWD East CampusFee: $139.00

Students will use the All About Learning LEGO® kits to build a variety of battling machines . This is a class of exploration, problem solving, and risk-taking with a goal of learning and experimenting with how machines work. This class is for students going into grades 4-8.

Models built: arm bot, blade bot, broom bot, crawl bot, flipper bot, net bot, ramp bot, triceratops bot, winch bot, armored bot.

Concepts covered: basic engineering principles, gearing and gear ratios, electric motors and energy, friction, forces, aerodynamics, problem solving, and communication skills.

You don’t need professional equipment or an expensive camera to take amazing photographs. Discover the secrets of how to take great pictures with simple point-and-shoot cameras or even a smart phone. Get ready to shoot! Participants will put their new picture taking skills to the test with an outdoor photo shoot then learn basic photo editing using free online software.

According to parkandkennels.com, the most common reason people get rid of their dog is because they turned out differently than expected.
