Celebration GardenCome visit our garden and enjoy a moment of peace and tranquility! Remember the garden can be used for gatherings, small weddings, parties, and more. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place perfect for any gathering need. Please remember that you can order pavers any time online (URL below) or by filling out a form at the church and placing it in the offering plate. Each engraved paver is $200 and provides funds for the maintenance of the garden. With a paver you can commemorate a graduation, wedding, confirmation, baptism, or remember a loved one. Wednesday Night Live Starting September 14th 5:15 - 7:30pmJoin us for Wednesday evening dinner in the Fellowship Hall, then break out around campus for a chance to discuss current issues facing our world today, and service those in our community.Life Tree Café will break out from the dinner where you and your friends can discuss questions and issues in our culture in a judgment-free zone. Explore UCUMC July 31 • Directly after the 11am worship service • Café Join the staff and other members for an informal lunch to learn about the ministries and community of UCUMC. This four-week course is designed to help you learn what Christians profess, practice, and produce by keeping an eye on our purpose, plan, and principles as a local church. Remember(ship) June 23 - August 4 (7 weeks) • 6:30-8pm • ChapelRecapture the passion you have for belonging to UCUMC. Whether you’ve been a member for 2 months or 2 decades (even if you aren’t a member at all!) this is the place for you to learn about what it means to be a thriving, contributing member of the local church. We’ll study the book I Am a Church Member by Thom Rainer, and spend time learning about Spiritual Gifts and how they can make us a more unified and on-mission congregation. Find Your Spiritual Gifts!We have a Spiritual Gifts test for Adults (18+) and Youth (6th-12th grade) to help you find joy in serving. Art of NeighboringWhen: Wednesdays, 6:30-8pm • Where: UCUMC, Room 109 Contact: Michele Travis - [email protected] • Starts: June 22, 6 weeksWhat if when Jesus said, “Love your neighbor” he meant your actual neighbors? Do you know the names of the 8 neighbors around you? Join us as we learn how to build community in our own neighborhoods.
Short-term Groups - www.ucumc.org/findagroupThese groups meet for a defined period of time to study a specific topic related to Christian living. Group includes study, fellowship and prayer. Short-term groups have a specific start and end date and new members are welcome during the registration period. Childcare is available with all short-term groups.

We meet from January through the 2nd week in November to create and sell crafts to support the UCUMC building fund.

Summer Serve 2015 - July 18-22 • 8:30am-12pmA week-long service experience for rising MIDDLE SChOOL students*Adult chaperones needed - anywhere from 1 day to all 5 days!
Students are invited to reach out and serve those in the Charlotte area through this unique week of service. Each day we will head out to various agencies and service opportunities where we will serve the elderly, homeless, underprivileged, and more! To sign up, go to www.ucumc.org/youth/upcoming.

VBS 2016 - Surf Shack: Catching the Wave of God’s LoveWhen: July 18-22; 9am - 12noon Ages: Rising 4 year olds through Rising 5th grade | Cost: $15 per child VBS 2016 is coming so grab your surfboard and head to the beach to Catch the Wave of God’s Amazing Love at Surf Shack 2016 VBS! WinShape Camps for Communities creates an unforgettable day camp experience for boys and girls through exciting programs designed to sharpen their character, deepen their faith and grow in relationships with others. WinShape camps offers 21 different skills! Skills include: soccer, wacky science, dance, girl world, gymnastics, man land, art, and more! Each child chooses 3 skills to focus on during the week.
