• Camp Sequoia, an overnight camp, caters to young men (7-17) improving their social cognition skills who are otherwise performing at or above grade level compared to their peers.
• Split in 2 sessions. • Our innovative and integrative approach has yielded a great deal of success with the needs
of our population. In addition to scheduled group sessions, each of our activities is intentionally constructed so that the fabric of building social skills building is woven as a tapestry throughout the day in a fun dynamic camp experience.
• Many of our campers come to us with a diagnosis of ADHD or Apserger’s, but ALL have the need to build more authentic social interactions with peers. Three and six week sessions available.

2020 • Campers at Camp Snowflake are afforded the same opportunities for recreational and
social activities as those at Camp Sunshine in the summer, albeit on a smaller scale given our meeting time of once per week on Saturday from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
• At Camp Sunshine, you will find no obstacles to overcome. Everything is adapted to suit the needs of their campers.
• Art and crafts, sports, swimming in an onsite heated pool, and a playroom/video center are all part of Camp Sunshine.
• 2,000 sq. foot air conditioned activity space. • Campers are divided into groups of 8-12 based on age and ability. Each group has a group
leader and assistant group leader. • Cost: $375 per week; $175 registration fee.

• Ages 18+. • TREK is BIANJ’s week-long residential camp. • It provides a week of independence, recreation and socialization for adults with brain
injury, while their caregivers enjoy a week of respite. • Campers take part in activities such as art, dance, poetry, swimming, outdoor sports and
nature study. • TREK is designed to serve adults with a primary diagnosis of brain injury. • Participants must be residents of New Jersey or currently residing in New Jersey for
rehabilitation and meet other eligibility requirements. • TREK 20120 is taking place August 16 - August 21, 2020. • Space is limited.

• Camp Sunrise is a Christian camping experience for individuals with special needs, ages 8–55.
• Our mission at Camp Sunrise is to provide a place where everyone feels welcomed and loved.
• Camp Sunrise provides a place where campers can experience new challenges and opportunities for growth in a safe and caring environment.
• Some activities include bowling, a trip to the Warwick Drive-In, and a picnic at nearby Wawayanda State Park that includes swimming and canoeing.
• Sessions are week-long, beginning Sunday afternoon and run through Friday evening. Tuition is $849 per week; Camperships are available.

• Joey Travolta, special educator and filmmaker, and his crew of professionals teach kids age 11 and up the art of filmmaking from concept to creation.
• In 2 weeks, campers learn everything from script development, pitching an idea, lighting, directing, acting, editing, animation, and shoot a 60 minute digital short film.
• The program is inclusive to kids with special needs and on the higher end of the autism spectrum or Asperger’s.
• It is not a special needs camp, however, the program infuses social skills in a creative environment with film making the common denominator.
• The focus is on collaboration and support of each other’s creative contributions. • Once the film is complete, a red carpet premier is held and the campers see the end result
of their creation. Each camper leaves with a copy of the film. • It is an amazing experience for all involved. • We additionally hold monthly film club (Peer Vision Film Club) at our center in
Hackensack to continue the newly made relationships and extend the film making opportunities. (Oct. - June).

• Limited space. • The Summer Programs include Therapeutic Social Skills and with camp like activities -
swimming, hiking, team building skills-sports, field trips to places such as water parks, Six Flags, zoos, etc.. art therapy, music therapy, martial arts, yoga and nutrition classes.
Summit Camp and Travel Programs As of 5/28 – the camp will be open but new dates of 7/11 – 8/30/20. The camp will be professionally cleaned and sanitized.
