Youth FitnessYouth Speed and Strength For youth that want to improve their speed, agility, strength, and quickness over the summer. Also for youth who would like to work on developing motor skills, build confidence, and be a part of a group.

Youth Start Introduction to weights and working out for ages 12+. This class will focus on teaching the coreect way to use equipment in the fitness center while educating youth on muscle groups, basic nutrition, and healthy lifestyle principles.

Youth SportsRookies Soccer League Soccer league for children ages 4-5 years old. Practice on Mondays at 4pm and games on Saturdays at 11am.

Winners Soccer League Soccer league for children ages 6-7 years old. Practice on Mondays at 5pm and games on Saturdays at 12pm.

All Star Soccer League Soccer league for children ages 8-10 years old. Practice on Mondays at 6pm and games on Saturdays at 1pm.

Youth Lacrosse League This new league is for children ages 8-10 years old. Practice will be on Wednesday from 5:30-7pm.

Youth Flag Football League This new Flag Football league is for children ages 8-10 years old. Practice will be on Tuesdays from 5-6:30pm.

Allstars Basketball League Basketball league for children ages 8-10 years old. Practice on Thursdays at 6pm and games on Saturdays at 3pm.

Champions Basketball League Basketball league for children ages 11-13 years old. Practice on Thursdays at 7pm and games on Saturdays at 4pm.

Youth Martial ArtsYouth Beginner Karate This class builds a solid foundation of core Karate techniques through which participants will improve kinesthetic awareness, fitness, mental focus, and unity of the mind body and spirit.

Novice Karate This class is for the continuing Karate student with some experience under their belt. Students will further their mastery of Shotokan Karate Kihon and Katas.

Tae Kwon Do Tae Kwon Do is for participants interested in gaining self-esteem, respect, discipline, coordination, and balance while learning self-defense. This class is for ages 6 and older.

Youth GymnasticsBeginner Gymnastics Gymnasts will be educated on gymnastics safety and introduced to all Olympic appartus. Gymnasts will learn coordination, flexibility, proper form, and tumbling techniques to improve gymnasts skills.

Intermediate Gymnastics Instructors will focus on building on skills, safety and confidence. Gymnasts will develop strength and flexibility that will correlate with the skills and techniques they are working on in class.

Advanced Gymnastics Instructors will provide positive coaching, direct and indirect instruction and fundamentals for USAG Level 3 training. Participants will learn proper form and posture techniques and will be encouraged and motivated to be successful.

Pre-Team Gymnastics Instructors will concentrate on posture, form, strength, and flexibility throughout classes. Gymnasts will be trained for competition USAG level 3, learn dance routines, jump connections, and higher tumbling skill progressions on all Olympic apparatus.

Youth Swim Lessons-IntensivesLevel 1: Polliwog- 2 Week - This is the beginning level for school age children and is appropriate for anyone new to the water or with little formal instruction. This class will occur 3 times a week for two weeks.

Level 2: Guppy- 2 Week - In this class swimmers will learn to front and back float 1-minute; front alternating paddle 25 yards with rhythmic breathing with and without an IFD; front symmetrical paddle 25 yards; back symmetrical paddle 25 yards; back alternating paddle 25 yards; side alternating paddle 25 yards; and kneeling dive.Prerequisites: To enter this level, children should be able to front and back float for 30 seconds with or without an IFD; paddle 25 yards on their front, back and side with an IFD, and 15 feet without an IFD; jump in without assistance; be comfortable in deep water. This class will occur 3 times a week for two weeks.

Level 3: Minnow- 2 Week - In this class swimmers will learn to do a standing dive; basic front crawl rotary breathing 25 yards; basic breaststroke 25 yards; backstroke 25 yards; elementary backstroke 25 yards; basic sidestroke 25 yards; and tread water 1 minute.Prerequisites: To enter this level, children should be able to front and back float 1-minute; front alternating paddle 25 yards with rhythmic breathing with and without an IFD; front symmetrical paddle 25 yards; back symmetrical paddle 25 yards; back alternating paddle 25 yards; side alternating paddle 25 yards; and kneeling dive. PRIVATE SWIM LESSONSYouth Swim LessonsLevel 1: Polliwog - This is the beginning level for school age children and is appropriate for anyone new to the water or with little formal instruction. Children will learn the basic paddle stroke on their front, back and sides, kicking skills and will become comfortable putting their face in the water.

Level 2: Guppy - In this class swimmers will learn to front and back float 1-minute; front alternating paddle 25 yards with rhythmic breathing with and without an IFD; front symmetrical paddle 25 yards; back symmetrical paddle 25 yards; back alternating paddle 25 yards; side alternating paddle 25 yards; and kneeling dive.Prerequisites: To enter this level, children should be able to front and back float for 30 seconds with or without an IFD; paddle 25 yards on their front, back and side with an IFD, and 15 feet without an IFD; jump in without assistance; be comfortable in deep water.

Level 4: Fish - In this class swimmers will learn to tread water for 3-minutes; swim 50 yards front crawl;swim 50 yards breaststroke with legal kick and arm pulls; swim 50 yards backstroke; swim 50 yards elementary backstroke with a glide; swim 50 yards sidestroke with a scissors kick; and swim 15 yards butterfly.Prerequisites: To enter this level, children should be able to do a standing dive; basic front crawl rotary breathing 25 yards; basic breaststroke 25 yards; backstroke 25 yards; elementary backstroke 25 yards; basic sidestroke 25 yards; and tread water 1 minute.

Level 5: Flying Fish - In this class swimmers will learn to do a flip turn; swim 100 yards front crawl with bilateral breathing; swim 100 yards breaststroke; swim 100 yards backstroke; swim 100 yards elementary backstroke; swim 100 yards sidestroke alternating sides; swim 100 yards lifesaving sidestroke; and swim 15 yards butterfly.Prerequisites: To enter this level, children should be able to tread water for 3-minutes; swim 50 yards front crawl; swim 50 yards breaststroke with legal kick and arm pulls; swim 50 yards backstroke; swim 50 yards elementary backstroke with a glide; swim 50 yards sidestroke with a scissors kick; and swim 15 yards butterfly.

Level 6: Shark - In this class swimmers will learn to take their own heart rate; learn about open water and backyard pool safety; swim 100 yards from crawl with flip turns; swim 100 yards breaststroke with pull-out; swim 50 yards inverted breaststroke; swim 100 yards backstroke with dolphin kick and pullout; swim 50 yards over arm side stroke; swim 25 yards butterfly with streamline; and swim 200 yards individual medley.Prerequisite: To enter this level, children should be able to do a flip turn; swim 100 yards front crawl with bilateral breathing; swim 100 yards breaststroke; swim 100 yards backstroke; swim 100 yards elementary backstroke; swim 100 yards sidestroke alternating sides; swim 100 yards lifesaving sidestroke; and swim 15 yards butterfly.

Level 7: Porpoise - This level differs from other levels in that the format allows older children and teens the opportunity to develop a program that fits their interests after they complete the Shark Level. Participants will expand upon the five main points of YMCA swim lessons in create ways that they help develop while they learn leadership skills and the value of community service.
