However, a 10-year-old student ministry in Sioux Falls with that name has been seeing a discipleship explosion throughout the city and extending into areas like Canton and Mitchell and hopefully into the McCook and Howard school districts. Collision is a school -based outreach with the vision “To glorify God by uning and mobilizing the local church to fulfill the Great Commission, so that every student has the opportunity to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ.” Collision team members like John Glasser, Liza Heidelberger and Caiden Capaldo train students to become dis- ciple makers among their peers. During the training, students begin by idenfying 6 peers whom they will com- mit to prayer. They will then present the gospel to each one on their list and follow the gospel presentaon up with an invitaon to join in a DMM (disciple making movement) small group of 5-7 other students to discover what the Bible says and how is applies to their lives. In these DMMs students are not only trained by a fellow student on how to read the Bible and apply it to life, they are also trained to start up their own DMM group. The 2020 goal for the Sioux Falls Collision movement is to see 2,000 DMMs started. That’s over 10,000 stu- dents gathering in small groups to study to know God, make Him known and then obey Him. Students who come to faith in Jesus are mobilized and moved on to further biblical training in local churches throughout the city. Collision

Usually when you hear the word “collision” it’s not a good thing. However, a 10-year-old student ministry in

Sioux Falls with that name has been seeing a discipleship explosion throughout the city and extending into

areas like Canton and Mitchell and hopefully into the McCook and Howard school districts. Collision is a school

-based outreach with the vision “To glorify God by uniting and mobilizing the local church to fulfill the Great

Commission, so that every student has the opportunity to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Collision team members like John Glasser, Liza Heidelberger and Caiden Capaldo train students to become dis-

ciple makers among their peers. During the training, students begin by identifying 6 peers whom they will com-

mit to prayer. They will then present the gospel to each one on their list and follow the gospel presentation up

with an invitation to join in a DMM (disciple making movement) small group of 5-7 other students to discover

what the Bible says and how is applies to their lives. In these DMMs students are not only trained by a fellow

student on how to read the Bible and apply it to life, they are also trained to start up their own DMM group.

The 2020 goal for the Sioux Falls Collision movement is to see 2,000 DMMs started. That’s over 10,000 stu-

dents gathering in small groups to study to know God, make Him known and then obey Him. Students who

come to faith in Jesus are mobilized and moved on to further biblical training in local churches throughout the

city.

This movement is more than making converts; it is about making disciples who know Christ and obey his great

commission. As our own students are introduced to this movement pray that God might move them to consid-

er surrendering to Christ and His command to make disciples.
