Readings for the Day:
Isaiah 62:1: The peoples return to Judah after the exile was
marred by economic and political troubles. Nevertheless, theprophet declares, Jerusalem and Judah will be restored. God willrejoice over Jerusalem as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride;and the people are called to the celebration.
John 2:1-11: Turning water to wine at the wedding at Cana isdescribed as the first of Jesus signs. Through many suchepiphanies, Jesus reveals that he bears Gods creative power and
joyful presence into the world.

Questions To Ponder:
1 What are the purposes of the miracles/signs within Johns
gospel?2What does it mean that Jesus says my hour has not yet
come?
3What does the miracle tell us about Jesus?
4What is the significance of the wine being the good wine?
5What does this miracle say to us today?
