Hosanna Sunday
MISSION STATEMENT We, the people of Saint Maron Parish, form a community of disci-
ples dedicated to a shared faith and common life which exemplifies
the life, works, and teaching of Jesus Christ as reflected in the Sa-
cred Scriptures and the Maronite Catholic Tradition. Our Parish life
and mission are to proclaim the Gospel, to foster and strengthen the
faith, and to evangelize. Our covenant of discipleship with Jesus
Christ is fulfilled through liturgy, education, and service.
Hossanna Week
Stations of the Cross and the Veneration of the Holy Cross:
The object of the Stations is to help the faithful to make a spiritual pil-
grimage of prayer, through meditating upon the chief
scenes of Christ’s suffering and death.
The services will be held every Friday during the Great Season of
Lent, at 6:30 pm in the Church on Carnegie Ave.
BIBLE STUDIES FOR ADULTS
We will once again be having Bible
Studies for Adults every Tuesday
beginning April 9th at 7:00pm in
Independence. Please join us!
Thank you to all of the Parishioners who contributed to the
Farewell Breakfast for Father-Tony Massad, sponsored by
the Maronite Young Adults (MYA). It was an awesome dis-
play of community and fellowship. We collected over $1500
in general donations/gifts for Fr. Tony to assist him in his
transition to his new assignment. He moved into an empty
apartment and needs to stock it with everything. No one
person was more significant than another. The various help-
ers all played an essential role. The MYA came together like
clockwork! However, I do want to give special thanks and
recognition to Jessica Farah for chairing this event.
God Bless our St. Maron Family!!
Elias Hazkial
Please support the Maronite Youth
Organization (MYO)!! We are collecting donations for individual
roses and carnations prior to each service on
Good Friday, to be placed by parishioners in
the Tomb of Jesus. Rather than stopping at
the store before you come to church, get your
flowers from the MYO. All proceeds will
help with the travel expenses to attend the
MYO National Retreat in Tampa, Florida.
