CONFESSIONS: The Sacrament of Penance may be arranged by appointment. If unable toreach Fr. John-Mark to make an appointment, he is usually available in the office on Saturdayafternoons from 2:00 to 4:00, and can accommodate drop-ins for the penitential rite at that time.
ENQUIRERS: If you are interested in attending a course in the fundamentals of Catholic Faithand Practice, either preparatory to becoming a Catholic Christian, as a “refresher” or to fill ingaps in your knowledge of religion, please let Fr. John-Mark know. He will try to schedule aseries of exploratory classes after a few more people have expressed such a desire.
MASS INTENTIONS & PRAYER REQUESTS: A weekday Mass may be offered forspecial intentions upon request. Such intentions are usually announced at the Orate fratres withthe first name of the person for whom the Holy Sacrifice is offered, and memorialized duringthe Canon of the Mass at the commemoration of the living or departed as the case may be. Itmay be kept private if that is the wish of the person requesting the Mass, or a “Mass Card” canbe issued with the details of the Mass to give to the person whose petitions have been made.In many churches and religious houses, it is customary to offer the celebrant a monetary“stipend” for his ministrations. Due to the strict vow of poverty of Augustinian MissionaryPriests, it is asked that any such consideration is purely voluntary, and be made as an offeringto the Mission instead of any form of gratuity to the priest himself. If you simply have aconcern for which you would like Father to pray, he will be happy to add it to his daily prayers.
THE EMERGENCY FUND: We have had an extraordinary number of requests for one-timeemergency assistance, from stranded travelers, individuals who have had recent serious illness, and others in severe and legitimate distress. Our fund for that purpose is running perilously low.If you are moved to assist with a special offering for this purpose, please mark your check orthe offering envelope to so indicate. If you have any ideas for fundraisers, or are willing tosolicit friends or family for donations, let Fr. John-Mark know, and he will try to assist in anyway possible.
