Q: Who should take the SC/CM training modules? A: Anyone is welcome to take the SC/CM training modules. However, it is required by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) that all those employed in Virginia as a Support Coordinator/Case Manager, must take and pass all SC/CM modules within 30 days of hire as a SC/CM. Q: Do I have to complete the modules in order? A: Yes you must complete the modules in order and pass the learning assessment for each module before proceeding to the next one. Q: Do I have to register to complete the modules? A: If you want a certificate of completion, which is required of SC/CMs, you must register. If you do not need a certificate of completion, you do not have to register. Q: How do I register? A: Click on the registration link on the home page. This is where you will enter a username, password and you will be asked to provide additional information about yourself. You can access all posted resources, including a printable text document, and modules at any time without logging in. However, only your “username” and “password” will provide you access to the learning assessments, enable you to track your progress, and provide you with a certificate. However, it is highly recommended that after two unsuccessful attempts, you go back through the module before taking the test again. Number of attempts will be recorded and documented in a report that is seen by your employer. Q: Where can I find a transcript of the modules I have passed and those I still need to complete? A: This may be found after logging in and clicking on ‘Dashboard’. Q: How do I start the presentation? A: Click on Module 1 on the homepage. Then click on “narrated PowerPoint.” The presentation will begin automatically. Q: How do I control the module after it begins? A: The next pages show how to control the module. Q: Who should I contact if I have problems with or questions about the modules? A: Email [email protected]. Please provide detailed information about the issue in your email.
