Swiss One Safety is an independent, privately-owned Company established in 2000 by Jean-Pierre Passaquay. With over 30 years experience in the industry, Jean-Pierre has attracted a team of some of the most highly skilled people in the safety eyewear industry to work alongside him.

The company has rapidly gained an excellent reputation for the design, manufacture and supply of safety eyewear to industry, the construction and healthcare sectors as well as the emergency services and the military sector. Based in Geneva, the Swiss One brand is now synonymous with the highest standards of design and precision engineering associated with Switzerland.

Any spectacle you buy from Swiss One Safety has been certified as per the PPE 89/686/EEC Directive and relevant EN standards, and is CE marked.

You may be confident that any safety product you buy from Swiss One Safety will be manufactured, tested, packaged and documented strictly in accordance with current European legislation.

By choosing protective products you know to be of the highest quality, you will not only be making the best decision for your workforce, but will clearly be fulfilling your obligation under the law.

STANDARDS

We design personal protective equipment for eye protection for industrial use consistent with the Directive 89/686/EEC, and to the harmonized standard EN166:2001.

Each Swiss One Safety product is tested and certified by independent laboratories (Critt, INSPEC etc...) according to European standards.

The fight against the risk of accident and health impairments goes primarily through the implementation of technical and organizational measures to eliminate risks at source or to protect workers with collective protection.The choice of personal protective equipment (PPE) is part of a compromise that involves the need to analyze previously:

The risks faced by employees,The constraints presented by the workstation, the tasks to be performed and the environment,Constraints users (morphology, acceptance of PPE...).

Wearing helmets can protect the upper part of the skull, mainly against the risk of shock and perforation caused by falling objects, striking against fixed objects or the fall of the person.The analysis of all the risks associated with a position or a work situation is an essential step prior to any procedure for choosing a protector.

The main types of standard helmets and their characteristics:

The Bump cap for industry: EN 812 standards and EN 812/A1 amendment. Bump caps for industry are designed to protect the wearer when to head it hits hard and immobile objects with enough force to cause cuts and other minor injuries. They are not designed to protect against the effects of projections or falling objects or suspended or moving loads. They are primarily intended for indoor use and can in no way replace the helmets.

Protective helmets for industry: EN 397 standards and EN 397/A1 amendment.Protective helmets for industry are primarily intended to provide protection against the wearer from falling objects, but they are not intended to provide protection against shocks applied outside the top of the skull.
