VIOLIN LESSONS AT TA PREP
Are you tired of driving through traffic after school to get to music lessons? Violin lessons are offered at TA Prep during the school day! Beginner through advanced violin students in grades three through eight may sign up for lessons in the TA Prep Violin Program. The students will not miss any academic classes. The TA Prep Violin program, led by Ms. Emily Campbell, is now in its seventh year. Ms. Campbell holds Masters and Bachelors of Music degrees in violin performance and pedagogy. Violin teaching and pedagogy are Ms. Campbell's passion, and she has many years experience. She taught and led a division of the string department at the Levine School of Music, is an area adjudicator and clinician and has performed in Minneapolis and the DC metro area as part of the Minnesota Opera and Arlington Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Campbell’s students have gone on to hold concertmaster positions in youth orchestras and to successful careers in music. Lessons meet weekly September-May in small groups of two or three students at approximately the same grade and ability level. Children are required to practice their lesson at home daily. Students have lesson notes and YouTube videos to help them succeed. We develop skill through learning songs, ear training, games, and emphasis on correct posture. In the large group lessons we work on ensemble skills and prepare music for performances. Monthly tuition includes small and large group lessons, recitals and other performances. Tuition is based on a nine month commitment. In 2017/18 the monthly tuition is $100/month. FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT MS. CAMPBELL AT
