This picture has probably had the most remarkable success of any picture ever dis- played and is accepted in the mo- tion picture world as the most elaborate and costly picture pro- duction ever attempted. The fact that the entire six reels, telling the story of Christ from his birth to his crucifixion, were photo- graphed upon the identical spots in the Holy Land and in Egypt given in history as the scenes of the various incidents in the life of the Saviour, lend to the pic- tures a value not heretofore at- tending any picture story of bibli- cal history. , The pictures will be at the Ta- coma theater until next Friday, at 3 o'clock each afternoon and at 7:30 and 9 o'clock at night. "Alma, Where Do You Live," comes to the Taooma Saturday night. "Alma" first became pop- ular in New York when the piece was produced in German at the German theater, under the man- agement of Adolph Phillip. j EMPRESS Vaudeville patrons who delight in feminine loveliness should not miss the Empress this week. It has been a long time since so much pulchritude has been dis- played in one bill. There is Myrtle Young, of Moore and Young, who is said to be a real Gibson girl. At all events she is a stunning blonde beauty. And her partner, Miss Moore, is not unhandsome. Miss Rita Kedfield is another pretty maiden who makes a hit. Her characterization of the street gamin is very good. The featured Romany opera troupe also furnishes its quota to the bill's good looking women. This organization also is about the best bunch of opera singers heard in Tacoma vaudeville. Miss Sada Wander, in "The Beauty Shop," with George Stone, is a dashing girl with a sweet smile, and her partner sings well. Halliday and Carlln present the "Battle of Bay Rum," which is the biggest laugh-setter of the bill. The McDonnells are a duo of cyclists, who have a collection af odd wheeled things. But this week's bill is going to prove most interesting to mere man. 1 PANTAGES T —0 Variety is the spice of life— and of vaudeville. That's why the new bill at the Pantages makes such a hit this week. i. Menlo Moore's "Lads and Las- sies" are featured, and they pre- sent a very pretty and attractive act, In which Miss Dixie Harris plays a prominent part. There's a lot of dancing and singing. A group of old lady gossips can certainly wag tongues but they are has beena compared to Jack Magee and Prances Kerry, -who chatter.the audience almost into hysterical laughter, There Is nothing hackneyed about the comedy acrobatic work of the Three Navarros. They of- fer something new and refresh- ing in a well worn line. Karl is a violinist with a peer Mar instru- ment and a still more peculiar habit of rolling his ' eyes at habitues of the boxes. Even at that, the young man can dish up music of 'most any kind. "Man Proposes— Dis- poses" is not a Laura Jean Libby lecture on courtship. Instead, it Is an amusing and well acted playlet, in which Ollie Eaton, a capable actress, has the leading role. Her support is good. The tripping of the light fan- tastic in vaudeville Is getting to be borcvome, but Dancing John- son shows some nifty new steps this week. •\u25a0 " > The moving pictures deal with an Indian subject, and prove in- teresting; while the orchestra of- fers some tuneful melody. to™ THE ClßCUlT—"Sheridan's Ride," Bison three-reel feature; "Binks, the Strikebreaker," Imp comedy. usual, the work of the orchestrais good.

But this week's bill is going toprove most interesting to mereman.

1 PANTAGES T• —0Variety is the spice of life—

and of vaudeville. That's whythe new bill at the Pantagesmakes such a hit this week. i.

Menlo Moore's "Lads and Las-sies" are featured, and they pre-sent a very pretty and attractiveact, In which Miss Dixie Harrisplays a prominent part. There'sa lot of dancing and singing.

A group of old lady gossips cancertainly wag tongues but theyare has beena compared to JackMagee and Prances Kerry, -whochatter.the audience almost intohysterical laughter,

There Is nothing hackneyedabout the comedy acrobatic workof the Three Navarros. They of-fer something new and refresh-ing in a well worn line. Karl isa violinist with a peer Mar instru-ment and a still more peculiarhabit of rolling his ' eyes athabitues of the boxes. Even atthat, the young man can dish upmusic of 'most any kind.

"Man Proposes— Dis-poses" is not a Laura Jean Libbylecture on courtship. Instead, itIs an amusing and well actedplaylet, in which Ollie Eaton, acapable actress, has the leadingrole. Her support is good.

The tripping of the light fan-tastic in vaudeville Is getting tobe borcvome, but Dancing John-son shows some nifty new stepsthis week. • •\u25a0 " >

The moving pictures deal withan Indian subject, and prove in-teresting; while the orchestra of-fers some tuneful melody.
