PICTURESThis afternoon at 3 o'clock will

occur at the Tacoma theater thefirst presentation in this city ofthe Kalem biblical motion pictureproduction "From the Manger tothe CroBS." This picture hasprobably had the most remarkablesuccess of any picture ever dis-played and is accepted in the mo-tion picture world as the mostelaborate and costly picture pro-duction ever attempted. The factthat the entire six reels, tellingthe story of Christ from his birthto his crucifixion, were photo-graphed upon the identical spotsin the Holy Land and in Egyptgiven in history as the scenes ofthe various incidents in the lifeof the Saviour, lend to the pic-tures a value not heretofore at-tending any picture story of bibli-cal history. ,

The pictures will be at the Ta-coma theater until next Friday,at 3 o'clock each afternoon andat 7:30 and 9 o'clock at night.

"Alma, Where Do You Live,"comes to the Taooma Saturdaynight. "Alma" first became pop-ular in New York when the piecewas produced in German at theGerman theater, under the man-agement of Adolph Phillip.

in feminine loveliness should notmiss the Empress this week. Ithas been a long time since somuch pulchritude has been dis-played in one bill.
