Fuels and Future Energy Carriers for Mobility.

The commercial and individual mobility is one of

the most important facts for economy and prosperity.

Nevertheless global warming and impact of harmful

emissions are threats we have to manage. CO2 and

NOx emissions are in focus of future developments

in automotive and fuels industry. An economic and

sustainable development towards less greenhouse

gas emissions needs a holistic view on base of

life cycle assessments for the different mobility

approaches. A synergetic discussion of solutions

for future fuels and energy carriers is needed to find

an economic pathway to a sustainable mobility of

tomorrow.

The optimum solution for mobility can only be

achieved by international cooperation of the engine

manufacturers, the mineral oil industry, the energy

producer and the legislative bodies.

Intention of the Colloquium

The international colloquium aims to contribute to

the development into a more sustainable mobility

by the exchange and the discussion of all aspects

connected with the system “engine/fuel/environ-

ment”.

Main Topics

The following aspects play a crucial role:

> future requirements on conventional fuels for

combustion engines with higher efficiency

> future quality characteristics and test methods for

fuels, fuel blends and additives

> alternative fuels, fuel components and fuel

additives for combustion engines

> alternative feedstock for fuels production

> advanced combustion concepts and their specific

fuel requirements

> alternative fuel concepts for mobility (including

hybridization and electrification)

> energy and life cycle assessments on GHG

emissions for alternative fuels concepts
