Math

A Activity – MODEL OR POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

You have studied the following topics:

1. Different proofs of Pythagoras theorem

2. Surface areas and volumes

3. Clinometers and its uses

4. Probability

Now let your creativity flourish by making a model or a power point presentation on any one of the topics mentioned

above. Support your model with a brief write up on a coloured A4 sheet.

A model may help to explain a system and to study the effects of different components, and to make predictions about

behavior. A mathematical model is a description of a system using mathematical concepts and language. The

process of developing a mathematical model is termed mathematical modelling.

PowerPoint presentations consist of a number of individual pages or "slides". The "slide" analogy is a reference to

the slide projector. PowerPoint provides numerous features that offers flexibility and the ability to create a professional

presentation. One of the features provides the ability to create a presentation that includes music which plays

throughout the entire presentation or sound effects for particular slides.

Use various real life situations related to above topics to explain them in details.

Always remember “medium is not the message, information is the message”.
