Welcome: Reuben Plachy

Mary Brock was the lucky winner.
Program: Jack Hanbury
Jack introduced Charlie Strickland representing Talon Training & Shooting Range. Charlie is a retired Leon
County Sherriff’s deputy, shooting safety instructor, and teaches Concealed Carry courses. He gave a very
informative lecture on general safety focusing on awareness and how to pay attention to your surroundings
especially when alone at night. He explained “Castle Doctrine” and “Stand your Ground” laws as they present-
ly are implemented. Bottom line is “Be prepared and Fight Back”. He also described the Talon operations and
had some materials such as Pepper Spray and other self defense items to look at.

inclusion two weeks prior to the meeting on the second Tuesday.

As we all know, Pam Pumphrey along with Don has been working with the Honor Flight for some time and has been
looking for ways to encourage participation and to generally help them with their mission. With the club’s agreement,
she and Don proceeded with planning and it pretty much has been completed. Don displayed the flyer and everyone
agreed it was excellent. They, with Marianne Trussell’s help, have arranged the show to be held in the Florida D.O.T.
parking lot next to Cascades Park on April 23rd. from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The flyers will be distributed as much as
