Punishment is not for revenge, but to lessen crime and reform the criminal - Elizabeth Fry One of the biggest debates I have had this week has been about the football World Cup which is currently underway in Brazil. Firstly, before I get into it, I have to drop this dis-claimer: I know the topic I am about to dis-cuss touches on one of the three themes you must avoid if you desire to keep your friends – the other two being religion and politics. That said, please hear me out.During the 2010 World Cup in the dying minutes of a quarter-final game between Uruguay and Ghana, Luis Suarez pulled off an offence so decisive it denied Ghana and Africa its first ever semi-final finish at the uni-verse’s biggest sporting meeting. From the moment Suarez illegally stopped the goal-ward ball, he instantly became one of the most controversial public figures. From that time there were many debates on how FIFA should have handled the obviously malicious action, and I argue that these debates are valid, seeing that he has been involved in at least 8 separate illegal incidents – talk about an appetite for controversy. My question is: how effective are the disciplinary measures at the world’s footballing body (FIFA)? I mean, for a repeat offence, Suarez faces the same measure – he repeated the same offence, clearly he learnt nothing. Frankly, his actions show what respect he has for FIFA.My parting question is this: Suarez is a professional, he is an individual so close to the game’s rules he should never err, he knows the consequences of an illegal action and has been subjected to various disciplinary measures - do you think another four months off the pitch will teach him the lesson which the first suspension (seven league games) failed to? I look forward to hearing some of your responses, but judging by his response to the first biting incident ( “No, I do not regret what happened. Normally I always keep calm but I didn’t ... I’m a little tired. This week I had to travel a lot.”) I doubt he will learn anything. The better option would be to make a resolute statement against such malicious actions by handing him a lifetime ban. Let’s chat, let me know what you think about this or any other talking point you think will make for a good discussion. Email [email protected] or send a tweet to @NietoVoice.

Welcome to a new month and the week’s new tame Times. The previous week ended with the first round of the World Cup introducing us to even hotter action. Two weeks ago, I challenged our female non-football-loving readers to take advantage of this period to learn about the beautiful game and perhaps refrain from starting a World War over the control of the TV – I would love to hear about your experiences. Gents, you can also write to us and tell us what you have learnt about your partners during the past two weeks. If the truth must be told, the game of soccer is a unifier, so I am sure the stories will be positive ones.Speaking about the soccer, over the past week I think I had the opportunity to speak to one of the luckiest people on the planet – Anitha Hurriparsad (see page 1 and 3). You, my sister, are envied by me.Some good news for our youth readers: over the past month (June) we have been running a competition in which we asked you to submit your artistic stamp (a photograph, an essay, a poem or anything which expresses youth in 2014) and stand a chance to win big. Here is the good news… the competition deadline has been extended and we will still be running the competition through the month of July.

Stop illegal connections

Rudzani Tshikota, Operations and Maintenance Manager at Eskom, addressed the media at the media session and campaign launch on 25 June.

On Wednesday 25 June Eskom held an urgent media briefing to address the issue of illegal electricity connections. According to Mihla Khumalo, Ekurhuleni Zone Manager, two children from Daveyton have died this year (one in April and one earlier this month), after they were fatally electrocuted by exposed wires from illegal connections. Eskom has therefore launched an urgent campaign to curb illegal and irresponsible electricity connections.Khumalo explained the aim of the safety awareness campaign called “Save a future leader- eradicate illegal connections,” saying: “What we are trying to do inside Eskom to try and deal with illegal connections is to embark on public awareness campaigns to inform the public of the dangers of electricity and what illegal connections do to animals and the people who are exposed to them. We’ve lost the lives of two children. We are pleading with the community to assist Eskom in removing and stopping illegal connections,” Khumalo said. According to Khumalo it is very easy to gain access to Eskom’s electricity supply points. Electricity thieves tap into the network too easily. The issue of illegal connections is a bigger problem in informal settlements, as

many do not have the proper infrastructure for electricity. Out of desperation to have basic electricity access, such as lights and television, residents use anything they can find to conduct electricity; even wires. Other residents that may have access to electricity sometimes share electricity via cables and pay the resident supplying electricity a cheaper tariff, rather than buying it from Eskom at the normal rate. Apart from the safety hazards caused due to irresponsible connections, overloading and a loss of revenue at Eskom are also major concerns that affect the whole Ekurhuleni area and areas that Eskom supplies. The campaign is currently targeting Gauteng, but Eskom aims to expand and create awareness nationwide as soon as they start gaining momentum and community support. Eskom looks forward to partnering with schools, NGOs, media and local residents to help them create safe and legal environments. If you happen to spot an illegal connection in your area, do not try to remove it yourself, Eskom warns, as it is dangerous. Report illegal connections to Eskom’s toll-free crime line 0800 11 27 22, or sms to 32211; or approach your local police station or Eskom office to report it.

I WAS THERE: Anitha Hurriparsad at the Arena da Am-azonia stadium ahead of the game between Cameroon and Croatia.

CONTINUED FROM PAGE 1“Firstly I didn’t even know that Hyundai was running this competition when I test-drove their i10. Soon after the test-drive, I received a call informing me that I was shortlisted for a chance to win this trip. I never made much of the information because I had never won anything. It was only when I received a call from 5fm’s Sureshnie Rider that things became real and the excitement set in,” she added. “Arriving in Brazil we were received very warmly, there was no time for one to be bored, our activity calendar was packed, from tours around the country and experiencing the culture of the country there was so much to take in. When the day of the game arrived and we arrived at the Arena da Amazonia stadium, the atmosphere was electric and reminiscent of the vibe we experienced here in 2010,”said a still excited Anita.Unfortunately for the South African group, Cameroon lost the game 4 – 0 to Croatia, but being there and being part of the spectacle was, according to Anita, more than enough.

One amazing first time Following the appointment of former Ward 20 Councillor; Michelle Clark, to serve within the Gauteng Legislature, residents of Ekurhuleni’s Ward 20 will return to the polls tomorrow (Wednesday 2 July) in order to elect a new councillor for the ward which is being contested by the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the African National Congress (ANC).According to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), Ward 20 has 16 398 registered voters. It is these residents who will be responsible for the election of the Councillor who will fill the vacancy left behind. Speaking to tame TIMES, Clark told of the hard work needed in the ward which covers Primrose, Wychwood, Primrose Hill, Malvern East, Bedford Gardens, Oriel, Bedfordview and Morning Hill. Clark has served as the Ward’s councillor for eleven years during which time, according to the DA member, she has worked hard on building trust and functional relationships with the residents of the ward.“Before the May 7 national election, I decided that it was time for me to move on with my political career and so put my name down for consideration for service with in the Provincial Legislature. Following a successful interview with DA leadership, my name made it high enough on to the party’s provincial list and I was subsequently elected to serve in

Provincial Legislature,” said Clark. In Wednesday’s election the DA will be represented by Jill Ada Humphreys while the ANC will be represented by Monica Mnguni.Jill Humphreys has been a resident of Bedfordview for the past 36 years and believes that her interactions with people within the ward are one of her strengths.“Living and serving in ward 20 has allowed me to be view life in many different perspectives because we have such a diverse mix within the ward towards the and I understand the weight which this job comes with, but having worked so close with Michelle Clark I believe (although it won’t be easy) I have the structures to deliver a and build on her successes,” said Jill Humphreys.tame TIMES made various attempts to get a comment from Monica Mnguni, however none were successful by time of going to print. Quick Fact:In the 2011 By-Election the DA candidate received over 80% of the votes in Ward 20Where do I vote:Voting Stations will be set up at the following venues: Bedfordview Scouts Hall, Bedfordview City Hall, Corner Stone Church, Bedfordview High School, Wychwood Primary School, and Primrose Hill Primary School.

Break a record with WODACThe World of Dogs & Cats & Pet Expo (WODAC), Complete Dog Food and Ford Motor Company, are calling upon animal lovers in Gauteng to help them break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the most pet food collected in a seven-day period. The aim is to collect a minimum of 20 tons of pet food from 14-20 July, in order to break the prevailing record of 15 tons convincingly.“Animal shelters across the country look after scores of loveable pets in need of a good, nutritious meal while they await adoption. So apart from being a fun opportunity for Gauteng residents to contribute to a Guinness World Record attempt, donors can draw inspiration from the fact that the real goal behind this initiative is to collect as much pet food as possible for donation to participating animal welfare organisations,” said Henk Jutte, managing director of Complete Dog Food.Animal lovers, and those who want to be part of a bona fide Guinness World Record attempt, are asked to drop off their donations at participating Ford dealerships in Gauteng, from 14-20 July and at WODAC, which runs from 18-20 July at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. Gavin Golightly, Marketing Manager at Ford South Africa, added, “Many people see their pets as part of the family, and offering cars that allow people to travel with their furry friends is something we at Ford are very proud of. With several pet-friendly vehicles

in our range, Ford started exhibiting at WODAC last year, and is doing so again this year.”In keeping with the spirit of generosity and fairness that characterises this Guinness World Record attempt, members of the public will decide, via a Facebook Challenge, how much of the donated food gets distributed to each of the approved animal welfare organisations. “It’s only fair that if you’re donating the food, you

should get to decide who gets how much of it,” explained Brian Blades, Managing Director of WODAC. “To have your say, go to the Facebook Challenge and cast your vote for the organisation of your choice. The challenge will run from 2 June to 20 July and the percentage votes for each shelter will determine their share of the food.”The grand weigh-in, of what will likely be a mountain of pet food, will take place under strict supervision at the World of Dogs & Cats & Pet Expo (WODAC) on 20 July 2014. The welfare organisations that currently stand to benefit from this drive include Kitty and Puppy Haven; Animal Ambulance; Animal Anti-Cruelty League; Animals in Distress; Barking Mad; FORA; Wetnose; SPCA Springs; Mdzananda Animal Clinic; Santa Cause for Paws; Woodrock Animal Rescue; Hellen White; Angels Refuge; Claw; SPCA Benoni; Animal Instincts; Pet Save and Purr Paws for life. For a list of participating Ford dealers as well as information on other drop-off sites, visit the website www.dogscats.co.za.

Rats are not popular. In matters of the heart, those who prove unfaithful are called love rats; in the workplace, those who refuse to support a strike are known as amagundwane (rats); and when we suspect someone is dishonest, we talk about “smelling a rat.” Every winter the South African media runs sensational stories about rats. There are reported sightings of new varieties of rats, articles about rats as big as cats, and even interviews about rats that stand up on their hind legs and challenge people instead of running away from them. Certainly, anyone who has looked into the cold blue eyes of one of these ugly, sharp-toothed rodents knows that they are not pleasant animals; and as the size of the road-kill rats on our streets can testify, it takes a car doing quite a few kilometres per hour to kill one of these monster Gauteng vermin. Tragically, however, cases have also been documented of rats biting babies, causing serious injury or even death. There are other dangers as well. Rats destroy food,

gnaw through electric wires and spread tape-worms, typhus and gastro-enteritis. As Gauteng citizens know only too well, they are also prolific breeders - in the space of one year, two rats can multiply into 15 000 rodents that are strong and hardy enough to swim 800 metres in the ocean or tread water for three days. [www.terrierman.com/aboutrats.htm]What is the solution? Rats are a formidable foe and the war has to be fought on many fronts. Citizens must take responsibility for their environment by making compost out of vegetable peels, by recycling paper, plastic and tin and by throwing away the rest responsibly. Municipalities must collect garbage regularly in all areas and schools must teach our children not to litter.Although cats and owls can be used very effectively to reduce rodent numbers, many people dislike them even more than rats. Fortunately, there is another simple home remedy that involves neither poison nor bullets. For success, it requires a weekly programme run by seven neighbouring households, about five rat-traps and a supply of oats and peanut butter. Each family simply chooses one day of the week to take their turn to arrange the traps around their property and load them with oats and peanut butter - a meal that is apparently totally irresistible to rats – and eventually the war on these ugly little rodents will be won.

On Friday 30 May 2014 the Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA did an outreach to in-digent community members in the Good Hope and Transnet Diesel Depot Infor-mal Settlement in Germiston. SPCA staff members approached the community and introduced the SPCA and its services in order to create community awareness about caring for pets. The SPCA also helped the community where necessary. The SPCA donated much needed blankets, dog food and cat food. Pamphlets for educa-tional purposes were also issued, with most of the literature focussed on teaching com-munities how to care for chickens, dogs and cats. Along with their door-to-door campaign, the SPCA did house visits to educate people

about their pets, and residents of these com-munities were also invited to bring some of their animals to be sterilized, vaccinated and de-wormed at the SPCA in Germiston and Bedfordview for free through the help of vet-erinarians in the Bedfordview and Germiston areas. The SPCA would like to thank all veterinary hospitals that availed themselves to assist with the initiative. As Mandela Day draws closer, the Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA has decided to dedicate their 67 min-utes and more to making a difference in the lives of all animal-owners in need.At least 40 shacks were visited by the SPCA as part of this outreach.

I have been inundated with calls and emails from Gauteng motorists who have been stopped at various roadblocks. Motorists have shared their experiences with me of how they have been intimidated and threatened by SANRAL and traffic officials. Motorists were being intimidated and threatened into registering with e-tolls.This is simply illegal and criminal. Motorists must not be intimidated in any way. There is no compulsion and no legislation to force anyone to sign up to e-tolls. In any case, if such legislation were to exist it would not pass constitutional muster. It is clear that SANRAL is desperate to increase its e-toll subscriptions. It also is desperate to improve its income as clearly the peaceful resistance campaign

by the public is working. I am writing to SANRAL CEO, Nazir Alli requesting to meet him to discuss this most concerning matter. If stopped at one of those roadblocks and made to feel uncomfortable, you should ask the officer to produce his/her certificate of appointment and take note of his/her name and traffic authority he/she works for. The officer is obliged to identify him- or herself. Should the officer refuse to do so, simply take note of the registration number of the official vehicle on site. Officials may not make enquiries into e-tolls and whether one is registered or not. Nothing obliges one to respond to these questions. Do not be intimidated! Kind Regards,Manny de Freitas MP

Letter: Manny de FreitasSANRAL may not intimidate you!

Leadership

You cannot become a great leader if you cannot speak well. It is no coincidence that throughout history nearly all of the great world leaders were good speakers — Nelson Mandela, Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy — to name but a few. Whether you are a president or a manager, your success depends on good communication.

7 tIPS to MAKe You A GReAt CoMMuNICAtoR1. CoNNeCt WIth PeoPLe — effective communication is more about building relationships than anything else. Communicate with the emphasis on connecting with people and they will respond better to you and your message.

2. BuILd tRuSt — for you to become a great communicator, people must trust you. Being aware of this is the single most important thing that you should keep mind:

“If you want to win a man to your cause, first convince him that you are a sincere

friend.” — Abraham Lincoln

3. uSe MoRe thAN JuSt WoRdS — when we communicate we use words, tone of voice and body language to get our message across. The very best messages are those that are synchronised — when they are all saying the same thing. How you look and what you wear speaks volumes about you. People judge you on your appearance before any words are spoken. Make sure you look the part. Pay attention to grooming, style and fit of clothing.Your look also includes personable qualities — facial expression, good posture, a positive attitude and eye contact all play an important part.

4. LISteN WeLL — it is one of the fundamental skills of success. It is hard to be great, or trusted without it.When you are not listening well to someone, you are communicating, “I don’t care. You’re not worthy of my attention.” This has to be one of the quickest ways to destroy anyone’s trust. Listen with your eyes and your body. Practise patience, empathise and, most importantly, be present. Avoid interruptions; i.e. calls, or emails — it is one of the fastest ways to show people you do not really care about them.

5. Be SIMPLe, CLeAR ANd CoNCISe — it is always better than complicated and confusing. Simplify your com-munication and stick to the core point. It also shows that you have respect for your team’s time.

6. thINK BeFoRe You SPeAK — do not force yourself into a conversation just to hear yourself speak. Keep your thoughts under wraps until you have something specific to say, until you understand how to proceed.Your words are a reflection of who you are. If you speak before you think, you are not considering the words you’re saying or the words of the person you should be listening to.

7. ASK the RIGht queStIoNS — you will get to the heart of effective communication and information exchange. You will gather better information and learn more; you will build stronger relationships, manage people more effectively and help others to learn too. Skilful questioning needs to be matched by careful listening so that you understand what people really mean with their answers.

Your ability to develop effective communication skills accounts for fully 85% of your success — in business and in your per-sonal life. the good news is, communication is a learned skill. In accordance with the Wimpy slogan, the owners of the outlet at the Bedford Centre are certainly enjoying every moment. Jenny Jooste, who co-owns the outlet with her brother theo, took some time to share some of those moments with tame tIMeS over a lunch at their V8-styled Wimpy outlet. The Jooste siblings bought the outlet in 2012 and commenced business on 1 May. On taking over, they immediately revamped the shop and built one of the Bedford Centre’s first play centres, a feature which Jenny admits won them much affection from children and parents alike.“We have many loyal customers, and spending time at the shop one gets to know customers on a personal level. We have a regular who actually lives in Cape Town. When she started shopping around the clothing stores in the centre, her son would insist on staying at Wimpy for the games in the play-centre, and eventually the boy became quite good friends with my son and now they regularly get together whenever he is in town,” said Jenny. Dad Pierre Jooste, who also assists as far as he can, told tame TIMES that he attributes the store’s success to his children’s passion for people and food.

“Only one thing would push people to timeously return to your establishment and that is the experience. The staff feed off management’s passion - what that does is create a pleasant experience for customers,” said Theo Jooste. The experience, of course, is nothing without the food, and very soon into our conversation our meals arrived. On the menu for the tame TIMES flavour were the following Wimpy offerings: the WoWza Royal Steak Burger (recent addition to the Wimpy menu) - which consists of 120g sirloin steak strips, jalapenos, streaky bacon, cheese, tomato, red onion and lettuce all dressed with a delicious BBQ source and neatly tucked into Wimpy fresh buns. And the Crumbed Chicken Cheese and Mushroom Melt – which is made up of two generous chicken fillets, and cheese melted under a creamy mushroom source. (Both meals were served with fries.)One can never go wrong with chocolate, and thankfully the folks at Wimpy read our minds when, for drinks, we were served a choice of either their Flaky Hot Chocolate or their Cold Coffee Bar-One Milkshake – both which found a home in our hearts.

Three arrested for assaultin two separate incidences occurring at Zinia road at the makause informal settlement, police arrested suspects for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.In the first incident, a victim alleged that her 24-year-old female attacker had followed her to her shack, asked her for R20 and, when she refused, the accused started verbally assaulting her. The assault escalated and became physical, ending with the attacker breaking a beer-bottle and stabbing the victim with it.The suspect was arrested and detained at the Primrose Police Station.

The second incident happened when a male victim on his way home from a bottle-store met two men, one of whom grabbed his beer, opened it and began drinking it without his consent. Although upset about the bullying which had happened, the victim continued on his way home, but the two men followed him and began assaulting him verbally. One of them then produced a sharp object and stabbed the victim. The suspects in both incidents were traced and arrested. Police condemn these actions and pledge to keep tracing all perpetrators of such violence.

The victim was driving on to Herman Road from the Barbara Road off-ramp and, when he passed the substation, a white sedan with three occupants drove next to his car and a passenger showed him a police card and ordered him to stop. He stopped and two occupants got out of the white car, one

approaching him with a firearm. The two men then ordered him to get out of his car, switched it off, took his car-keys and ordered him to empty his pockets. The men then took his money and other belongings, went back to their car and drove off, dropping his car-keys a few metres away. Police are investigating a case of armed robbery.

The suspects then proceeded to remove her handbag containing cash, medication, cellphone, bank cards and her Driver’s licence and ID Book.Members of Mamba Security asked the victim for a description of the suspect, gave chase and eventually caught one of the accused. Mamba officers then called the police and handed the suspect over for detention. Police would like to thank all the security companies working together with SAPS to

ensure that our communities are safe. The suspect has since appeared in the Germiston Court where his trail was postponed pending further investigation.

Tracking system helps policeekurhuleni metro police department (empd) intervention unit members received a lookout alert for a toyota dyna truck that was stolen in Bedfordview on 18 June. later that same day the unit was able to arrest two suspects, and to confiscate the truck and an accomplice vehicle in eikenhof. The tracking system fitted on the truck was what enabled the officers to make a speedy arrest because they were able to co-ordinate the search with the tracker company. The stolen truck’s trail was followed from Kliprivier Road, Alberton and through Kibler Park and eventually cornered on R554 in Eikenhof. The male suspect found driving the truck was arrested and he informed the Metro Police that his accomplice was escorting him in a white Kia sedan.

The accomplice was then pursued and arrested as he attempted to get away. Implements used for breaking open motor vehicles were found in the Kia sedan. A docket of possession of a stolen motor vehicle was registered at Mondeor police station against the fifty-something pair. Both confiscated vehicles were booked in at Aeroton SAPS pound. The duo appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.

on 18 June a cashier at a clothing store in a Gauteng mall discovered that the store debit card used by a female customer to pay for items she wished to purchase was fraudulent. Police were summoned and the suspect was arrested on the spot. She has already appeared in the Edenvale Court and the matter has been postponed to a later date.

The euphoria of whitewashing the ever-improving Scotland Thistles will not cloud the SPAR Proteas’ realization that they need to raise the bar if they want to be classed in international netball circles as serious medal contenders at next month’s Commonwealth Games in Scotland. The SPAR Proteas wielded the whitewash brush to good effect as they ran out 46-33 third Test winners over Scotland’s Thistles at the Bellville Velodrome, in Cape Town, on Saturday 21 June. Earlier in the series the Proteas beat the Thistles 56-29 and 41-25. The Proteas will be off to next month’s Commonwealth Games with loads of confidence in their ranks. The South Africans’ series win means they step up their International Netball Federation (INF) world standings from sixth to fifth position behind Jamaica, England, Australia and pace-setters New Zealand. South Africa has been drawn in Pool B for the Commonwealth games, along with England, Australia, Trinidad &Tobago, Wales and Barbados.Speaking after Saturday’s third Test in Bellville, Proteas head coach Elize Kotzé said the three Tests over as many

days helped her identify the areas her side needs to work on in the run-up to the Games.“We now have a good idea of what we need to do in training before we start playing in Glasgow. We were very well tested by a Scotland side that showed improvement every time they played,” said Kotzé. “It was a wonderful opportunity for the squad to take to court and test our combinations. I’m happy with the way the newcomers came through the matches and they all did very well.”The back-to-back wins over three consecutive days have instilled a fresh bout of confidence in the Proteas’ ranks. It was equally morale-boosting because the 12th-world-ranked Thistles has already defeated South Africa’s Pool B competitors Trinidad &Tobago and Wales earlier this year. When the Scottish contingent arrived in South Africa a few days ago, there was always a hint that the Thistles were a better side than their 12th world ranking would suggest, more so after their giant-killing wins over higher ranked countries like Wales (8), Trinidad & Tobago (10) and Northern Ireland (11).

Nkazimulu “Zuluboy” Zulu is the first holder of Extreme Fighting Championship’s (EFC) Bantamweight title and he aims to keep it for as long as possible. He is 100% confident about going up against Demarte “The Wolf” Pena in EFC 31’s main bout on Thursday. “All I want to do is knock him out. There has been a lot of smack talk and I think we are both hungry for a spectacular finish,” Zulu told tame TIMES.The 24-year-old, who resides in Bramley, trains at Kombat Lifetsyle Gym in Steeldale and is coached by Walter Wendt. “I feel like I am at home at Kombat. No matter who you are, what your background is and all of that, you are welcomed and made to feel a part of the family.”He explained that when he met Wendt, he had no ground game or MMA game at all, only stand up. He believes that under Wendt’s guidance he has bettered himself by 80%. “Coach Walter puts so much effort into my training and has faith and belief in me.”He explained that is it amazing to know that so far he has been the best fighter in his division. He has had five EFC fights: he lost via decision against Donnovan Wilken, won via KO(knock out) against Lourens Botes, won via submission against Cedric Doyle, won via decision against Craig Ninow and, of course, the fight everyone can remember is the one which won him the Bantamweight title by TKO(technical knock out) against Charlie Weyer.Zulu’s training programme consists of Mauy Thai, Boxing, Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu. He comes from a karate background which all together makes his MMA game. His confidence stems from “knowing what I have put in, so I know what I am going to get out. I feel I was born for this (MMA). I enjoy spending time with my fellow fighters and trainers in the gym - even outside of the gym. This is my life; it is what I enjoy doing.”When asked where the name Zuluboy comes from, he explained, “My surname is Zulu so my friends used to call me that instead of my full name. The name gained momentum and all of a sudden everyone was calling me Zuluboy.” Zulu believes these cage names are important as they are a way by which the fans recognise fighters, and they describe what kind of fighter you are in the ring. “Hey, Zulus are well known as great warriors,” he added.Zulu believes that one song should be used when walking out into the ring. “If you use different songs, your fans won’t recognise you.” However, this time his normal song has been re-mixed up by a DJ friend of his - so expect to be pumped up and ready to be entertained with his skill. “It’s a new era for the Zuluboy, my first title defence, so I am coming with a new song.”We all know a Zuluboy can kill a wolf.
