EAST AFRICA TRADE & TRANSPORT FACILITATION PROJECT PROJECT NO: EACTTFP/PZ1/DZ0/005 SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE This Specific Procurement Notice follows the General Procurement Notice for this project, which appeared in Development Business Issue No. 694 dated 16 January 2007. The Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (TTFA) is a Multilateral Management and Coordination Agency established in 2006 by Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and DRC to ensure the effective implementation of the provisions of the multilateral transit transport facilitation agreement, develop effective monitoring and compliance mechanisms for the central corridor transit route linking the port of Dar es Salaam to Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and DRC. The TTFA has received a Grant in different currencies from the African Development Bank Group towards the financing of its initial set up and operational costs including staffing, equipment, and running costs for three years. The TTFA is inviting applications for the following positions for 30 months contracts: Business Analyst: - The Business Analyst will work with the Consultant to prepare the Institution’s Business Plan. Ensure proper data collection and analysis is done so as to obtain a feasible plan. Collaborate with importers/exporters and other stakeholders to determine regional market volume (per country) and needs through interviews, and market surveys. She/He shall have a Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent qualifications with minimum five years experience from a reputable institution. She/He shall have vast experience in Market survey and must be computer literate with ability to computerize and synthesize of the data collected. Experience in the region will be an advantage. Information Technology Specialist: - The IT Specialist shall provide technical support and troubleshooting for all computer hardware. Responsible for maintaining the local area computer network connected and in good working order. Shall also develop and maintain the Organization’s website, provide network support analysis and system administration. The successful candidate shall have a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or its equivalent. IT certifications and specific knowledge of web technologies will be an added advantage. The candidate must have at least three years experience as a System Administrator or/and IT Support. Experience in the region will be an advantage. Eligible candidates for these positions are invited to submit detailed CVs indicating their academic qualifications, professional experience and certified copies of their certificates/testimonials not later than 27 August 2010.
