CHAPTER III. ECONOMIC ASPECT
A. Target Market
By using the data gathered in our research and studying the current
facilities around the city, we have identified primary market that will be targeted
as well as secondary market to help boost the revenue. The primary targets
are the students from different schools, colleges and universities around the
targeted area. The secondary targets are the employees and workers from
different banks and business establishments in Santiago City. We assumed
that tapping these bracket will boost the revenue of the BACHELORS:
Boardinghouse Restaurant.
Composition:
Its composition are students looking for personal care, cleanness, peace
comfort for studying and employees and workers who have a need for
temporary shelter for their convenience in working place. It also includes
ordinary people around the area who basically have a necessity to eat.
Population: The estimate of the number of inhabitants in Barangay
Centro East, Santiago City during 2010 totaled to 1,823 based on the
census of National Statistics Office. Using the data gathered in our
research and studying, the population of Northeastern College is three-
thousand-one-hundred-fifty-eight (3,158) students, the AMA Computer
College is with three-hundred-ten (310) students and for the Cagayan
Valley Computer and Information Technology College is with four-hundred-
five (405) students. This three institutions totaled to three-thousand-eight-
hundred-seventy-three (3873) students.
Age group: The normal boardinghouse goers are students with an age of
18 years old and workers and employees with minimum age of 20 years
old. As for the age of consumers who dine at restaurants, age varies and
result to any age.
Categories: Male and Female students, workers, employees and ordinary
people.
