Our Easter Hat Parade will commence at 12:00, followed by our Easter Raffle and Family Picnic in our beautiful grounds. Come along to celebrate and enjoy the fun. Remember to bring a chair. For the students it is “out of uniform” for this last day of term. No gold coin is required (for fun!) Merit Awards Congratulations to these students for achieving this high honour; Dylan Farrelly ANZAC Day Poetry Competition. Congratulations to Stephanie Foster and to Ashley Robson for their high quality entries. Stephanie will have the opportunity to read her ANZAC poem at the dawn service on April 25 th as competition winner. Ashley was runner-up. Well done! Autumn Holiday Break Have a safe and happy holiday everyone and if travelling over the Easter and ANZAC break, keep safe on our roads. School will resume for all students on Tuesday 29 th April. School Office Hours Reminder Please note that our official school office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm. This includes phone calls. While our highly dedicated staff are often present outside these times, that time is used for focussed professional learning, planning, programming, assessment and marking. ANZAC Day Service Our ANZAC Day school service will take place on Friday 2 nd May at 12:15 (first week of next term). Harmony Day Fantastic effort everyone. Orange was the colour of the day!     PARENT HELPERS Expression of Interest for Canberra closing Week 11 Friday April 11th. ZONE CROSS COUNTRY TOCAL Thursday 3rd April Depart from school at 11am The event will run regardless of weather. STOCKLAND STARS AT GREENHILLS Our school will be participating in the Stockland Stars program where we will be submitting a decorated 3D star. Customers then vote for their favourite star with every $1. spend in centre entitling them to 1 vote. The stars will be displayed from Monday 3rd March to Sunday 6th April for family, friends and shoppers to vote for their favourite stars and help your school win the cash prize. Customers register their details at the Customer Care Centre to be eligible to vote. For every $1.

    spent with a minimum purchase of $10. they are able to allocate 1 star vote to their favourite Stockland Star. Each school’s voting average is calculated by dividing the total amount of votes by the number of students enrolled at the corresponding school. VOTING CONCLUDES SUNDAY 30th MARCH. Winners are announced at the Official Closing Ceremony on Thursday 3rd April at The Closing Ceremony at Stockland Green Hills. PRIZES INCLUDE: 1st - $3000. Cash for your school 2nd - $2000.     P & C NEWS SCHOOL DISCO Wednesday April 2 Time: 6pm Venue: Tarro Public School Hall Cost: $5.00 (includes sausage sizzle, drink and entry into disco) EASTER DONATIONS Our Easter Raffle will be drawn at the Easter Hat Parade on Friday 11th April. We are asking for donations of eggs, baskets, stuffed bunnies or anything Easter. Donations can be left at the office at any time. Tickets will be sent home at a later date. Thank you for your support. Easter Raffle Tickets Raffle Tickets are attached to this newsletter. They are a $1 each and all money, tickets and unsold tickets will need to be returned to school by Thursday 10th April.
