Task 1
Task 3:
Task 4: Diary planning
Flannan Isle is a very remote place and the investigating officer has called on the locals to
give a witness account of the night James, Thomas and Donald disappeared. Pretend be one
of the islanders.
The island is very remote and cut off from the mainland. How did you feel that night- you
would not have known what had happened to the light house keepers at this time although you
may have realised there was something wrong when you noticed that the lamp was not lit. Try
and use some adventurous language to describe your emotions and what you saw that day. Do
any little details spring to mind?
