    We have showcased some great musicaltalent over the winter months with regularvisits from Bob Lloyd and his amazing JazzBandwho have been welcome visitors onseveral winter evenings.

    We were also delighted to welcome The Paris1940s who provided top entertainment onEaster Monday, with great covers of new andold favourites with a Jazz twist. Most recently,tribute act Dean Gee serenaded diners withthe sounds of Dean Martin and otherRat Pack greats.

    Method

    Boilmilkwithskinoforange,bayleaf,stickofcinnamonsugar

    Addpuddingriceto1litreofwaterandapinchofsaltandallowtoboilfor3minutes.Strainriceandaddtotheboilingmilk,reduceheatandsimmerslowlyuntilriceissoft.Takeoffheat,removebay

    leaf,cinnamonandorangeskin.Addbutter,eggyolksanddoublecream.

    Allowtocoolandset.

    PortugueseRicePudding

    F O O D F I L E

    Berkswell*A delicate Pyrenean style cheese madefrom unpasteurised ewes milk andtraditional rennet, made almost on

    our doorstep at Ram Hall, a beautifulElizabethan farmhouse west ofCoventry. The avours of Berkswell arerich and nutty with fruity undertones,with a slightly grainy texture whichvaries from moist to quite rmdepending on age.

    Montgomery Cheddar*Montgomery is one of only3 producers of artisan cheddar.It is made in Somerset, using time

    honoured methods of cheese makingfrom raw milk using traditionalrennet and matured for a minimumof 11 months.

    This cheese has a rm and grainytexture, mouth lling, complex aromasof hazelnut and sweet fruit.

    Stinking Bishop*At his farm near Dymock, west ofGloucester, Charles Martell producesthis cheese using a recipe derived from

    a cheese once made by local Cistercianmonks. Charles combines the milk ofhis Gloucester cows into the makingof this Epoisse like cheese. The rind iswashed in homemade perry, and thecheese is characterised by its pungentsmell with a taste that is surprisinglymild and almost sweet.

    We are delighted to showcase Fromage to Age,who are based in Chipping Campden and provide uswith our fabulous selection of cheeses.

    Established in 2003 by Simeon Hudson-Evans, Fromage to Age specialisesin the care, storage and distribution of artisan cheeses as well as olives,charcuterie and other ne foods.
