Addressing students at the post-centenary diamond jubilee celebrations of University of Madras today, he said that it was a mother of all universities as it produced six former Presidents, the first Governor General C. Raja Gopalachari, Chief Justices, stalwarts like Sarojini Naidu, Durgabai Deshmukh and many other remarkable personalities of the Country. Appreciating the students Purpose of education is to give back for betterment of Society: President who won medals and graduated today, the President said that the alumni of this prestigious institution spread all over the globe should contribute for the development of the Institution. The President said that new field of robotics, genomics, bioinformatics have also been given an impetus by the Government. The President said that Tamil is the most ancient language in the world and called the youth to explore literature and learning of the language. He said he wanted the students to become entrepreneurs and take their aspirations to the next level and benchmark its credibility. President also paid floral tributes to former President Giani Zail Singh at Rajbhavan in Chennai, on the occasion of his birth anniversary. New Delhi, May 5 The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council has approved ownership change of GST Network structure and now it will be converted into a government holding. Briefing media after chairing the 27th meeting of the council through video-conferencing yesterday, Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley said that the government will acquire the 51 percent stake held by private entities. He said subsequently the Central and the State Governments will hold a 50 percent stake each in the entity. GST Council approves ownership change of GST Network to convert it into govt holding The government has also decided to constitute two Group of Ministers (GoMs) to consider the issues related to the imposition of Cess on Sugar and incentivising digital payments under the GST regime. The KCC is united with the extension wing which also deals with New Delhi, May 5 A restored Dakota aircraft has joined the Indian Air Force more than four decades after the fleet was phased out following an illustrious service record. The Dakota DC-3 VP 905 was formally inducted at a grand ceremony held at Hindan air force station last evening. The aircraft was accepted by Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal B S Dhanoa from the Rajya Sabha MP Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar in February Dakota aircraft joins IAF again this year. The aircraft was flown back to India from UK by a joint crew of IAF and Reflight Airworks. During its journey, the aircraft flew a total of 9750 km and made en-route halts in France, Italy, Greece, Jordan, Bahrain and Oman. The loan cases of 24 beneficiaries under the aegis of A&NI KVIB were placed before the DLTFC and all the loan proposals involving of an amount of Rs. 116.08 lakh as total project cost were recommended for consideration of finance under PMEGP scheme during the current financial year 2018-19. D. Block Ferrargunj, on as and when required basis within 15 days from the date of placement

of formal supply order, failing to which the EMD / call deposit/security shall be forfeited.

2. The quotationer should submit the quotations in sealed covered superscribed “Quotation

for supply of construction materials for implementation of MGNREGA works”. In the

prescribed format Gram Panchayat wise as uploaded at official website of A&N

administration www.and.nic.in.

3. As per as n when required basis from Gram Panchayat under the Jurisdiction of C.D.

Block Ferrargunj supply order will be placed from the Office of the Sr. Programme

Officer,C.D.Block Ferrargunj.

4. Quotationers should specify the following particulars namely:-

a) Name of Company. b) Name of material. c) Quality. d) Brand. e) PAN No. & GSTIN f)

Cost of items inclusive of all charges like taxes stacking in proper stack, freight etc upto the

delivery point or work site as mentioned in supply order.

5. Quotation should be accompanied by an earnest money deposit of Rs.15,000/(Rupees Fifteen thousand Only) -in the form of call deposit drawn in favour of Senior Programme

Officer , MGNREGA, C D Block Ferrargunj from any Nationalized bank. Quotation should

be accompanied by samples and information brochures containing details of materials for

which quotation has been called for.

6. The firms those who are exempted from submission of EMD, relevant attested copies of

certificates in support thereof must be attached, failing which their offer will be rejected

summarily at the time of opening.

7. Item shall have to be supplied in full quantity mentioned and in good quality as per the

specification mentioned above by the successful quotationers on as and when required basis.

In case the materials supplied are not of good quality as quoted, it has to be taken back by the

supplier and should have to make good within 5 days from the date of issue of notice by the

Department otherwise cost of removal shall be levied from the amount payable to the

successful quotationer.

8. The rate quoted by the vendor/Supplier will be inclusive of GST charges.

9. Stone aggregate/stone boulder will be measured in stack and paid after making deduction as given below:-

a)Stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size and above -7.5%

b)Stone boulder -15%

10. In case of any dispute arising due to short landing, quality, and delay on deliver of items

etc. will be referred to the Sole Arbitrator, District Programme Co-Ordinator (Deputy

Commissioner) South Andaman Port Blair. The decision of Arbitrator, District Programme

Co-Ordinator (Deputy Commissioner) South Andaman, shall be final.

11 The quotationer shall also submit an undertaking to the effect that the rate quoted by

them is applicable for both private and Govt. institution/body.

12 The rate should be quoted both in words and figures and will be valid for one year from

the date of acceptance of quotations.

13 Incomplete/unsigned quotation will not be entertained.

Neil Island, Shyam Nagar, Govind Nagar Gram Panchayat at Havelock Island and also Sippighat, Beodnabad and Calicut under C.D Block

Prothrapur for the execution of MGNREGA works.

Terms and Condition:-

1. The successful quotationer should be in a position to supply the items to 6 Panchayats, including (Neil Kendra, Shyam Nagar, and Govind

Nagar Gram Panchayat) under C. D. Block Prothrapur, on as and when required basis within 15 days from the date of placement of formal supply

order, failing to which the EMD / call deposit/security shall be forfeited.

2. The quotationer should submit the quotations in sealed covered superscribed “Quotation for supply of construction materials for

implementation of MGNREGA works”. In the prescribed format Gram Panchayat wise as uploaded at official website of A&N administration

www.and.nic.in. 3. As per as and when required basis from Gram Panchayat under the Jurisdiction of C.D. Block Prothrapur supply order will be placed from the

Office of the Sr. Programme Officer, C.D.Block Prothrapur.

4. Quotationers should specify the following particulars namely:-

a) Name of Company. b) Name of material. c) Quality. d) Brand. e) PAN No. f) Cost of items inclusive of all charges like taxes stacking in proper

stack, freight etc upto the delivery point or work site as mentioned in supply order.

5. Quotation should be accompanied by an earnest money deposit of Rs.15,000/(Rupees Fifteen thousand Only)in the form of call deposit drawn

in favour of Senior Programme Officer , MGNREGA, C D Block Prothrapur from any Nationalized bank. Quotation should be accompanied by

samples and information brochures containing details of materials for which quotation has been called for.

6. The firms those who are exempted from submission of EMD, relevant attested copies of certificates in support thereof must be attached, failing

which their offer will be rejected summarily at the time of opening.

7. Item shall have to be supplied in full quantity mentioned and in good quality as per the specification mentioned above by the successful

quotationers on as and when required basis. Along with test check report from the certified agency .In case the materials supplied are not of good

quality as quoted, it has to be taken back by the supplier and should have to make good within 5 days from the date of issue of notice by the

Department otherwise cost of removal shall be levied from the amount payable to the successful quotationer.

8. The rate quoted by the vendor/Supplier will be inclusive of GST charges. 9. Stone aggregate/stone boulder will be measured in stack and paid after making deduction as given below as per CPWD specification:-

a)Stone aggregate above 40 mm -7.5%

b)Stone boulder -15%

10. In case of any dispute arising due to short landing, quality, and delay on deliver of items etc. will be referred to the Sole Arbitrator, District

Programme Co-Ordinator (Deputy Commissioner) South Andaman Port Blair. The decision of Arbitrator, District Programme Co-Ordinator

(Deputy Commissioner) South Andaman, shall be final.

11. The quotationer shall also submit an undertaking to the effect that the rate quoted by them is applicable for both private and Govt.

institution/body.

12. The rate should be quoted both in words / figures and will be valid for one year from the date of acceptance of quotations.

13. Incomplete/unsigned quotation will not be entertained.

14. Sealed quotation should reach office of the Senior Programme Officer, MGNREGA, C. D .Block Prothrapur on or before 16/05/2018 at

3.00pm.and all such quotations shall be opened in the presence the quotationer representatives same at 3.30 pm on 16/05/2018 in the chamber of

Senior Programme Officer, MGNREGA, C.D.Block Prothrapur South Andaman. The Senior Programme Officer, MGNREGA, reserves the right

to accept or reject any or all such quotation without assigning any reason thereof.
