TechArts: Everyone Is An ArtistWorks in the Permanent Collection
Introduction
TechArts began as an art installation in 1995, as a way to showcase the artistic talents of the students, faculty,and staff of New England Tech and share them with the rest of the college community. The concept of TechArtsresurfaced in the Spring of 2004 when a committee of faculty and administrative staff members became fullycommitted to keeping this tradition alive as an annual event. Art now has a permanent place in the Library andelsewhere on campus. Exhibits in the Library are changed quarterly, with a mix of works from the expandingnumber of arts-related courses that are now part of the curriculum. Occasionally, works are donated to the Libraryand have become part of our permanent collection. This online exhibit catalog includes the art entrusted to us ona long-term basis.
