RAIL: Rail shall include a one-piece, 1045 hardened steel bar inset into an extruded aluminum alloy #6061-T6 base channel with a combined weight of 1 lb. per foot (1.5 kg/m). (Overall 1/2"(13 mm) high with a 2" (50 mm) base flange and a 5/8” (16 mm) running top surface, for dual-flange guidance.) All rail joints to be overlapped and spliced with roll-pins. Rail shall have anchor bolts on minimum 12" (305 mm) centers. INSTALLATION Position the rail sections in their relative location where the completed system will be used. Where a splice is required, insert roll-pins and overlap the rail section together. Once positioned, drill holes in the floor through the anchor holes. Secure rails directly to floor with anchor bolts. Do not install on top of carpet but directly to floor slab. (Anchor bolts are supplied by the local installer). When rail end stops are required, position end stop bracket on rail and then secure end stop to rail. APPLICATION This floorless rail is compatible with the Wheelhouse High Density Mobile Storage System, powered, mechanical assist and manual carriages that utilize the dual-flange guidance system.
