    TURBINE AND AUXILIARIES

    1.1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION-MAIN TURBINE

    The turbine type is: sub-critical, primary reheating .single shaft .three

    cylinder and four-flow, and condensing type and its design rated power is

    600MW, which characteristics include: Combination of the HP & MP cylinder,

    double-flow reverse arrangement of the LP cylinder. There is internal flange

    bolt heating system in the proper, whose direction is anti-clockwise from

    the head to motor. Eight steam extractions are designed, which supply 3 HP

    heaters, 1 de-aerator and 4 LP heaters. Two HP automatic main stop valve

    and four HP governing valve are arranged below the operation layer of

    head's front and two MP combined steam valve which are arranged

    symmetrically.

    In turbine generator shaft unit, in addition that #1, 2 bearings adopt the

    tilting-pad ones, others adopt elliptic bearings. Shaft vibration measuring

    equipment are installed in the X, Y direction of every bearing upper tile,

    lower tile is equipped with temperature measuring equipment. Thrust bear

    lies in the #2 bearing seat between the HP & MP cylinder and LP cylinder and

    adopt tilted plane dual-thrust disc structure.

    HP & LP cylinder's expansion dead point lies in #2 bearing pedestal while LP

    cylinder A and B in neighborhood of their own center. The horizontal key in

    the dead point limit the axial displacement of the steam cylinder. At the

    same time, there are portrait keys set in back and forth of the portrait

    centerline between the front bearing tank and two LP cylinders to lead steam

    cylinder to expand along the shaft and limit its horizontal deviation.

    Two steam-driven variable speed feed-water pumps of 50% of capacity and

    one electric stable speed feed-water pump of 50% of capacity are designed

    in the unit feed water system. Two steam source including MP and LP are

    designed in small turbine and it can impulse with auxiliary steam.

    Condenser is designed to double-shell, double back pressure and single

    pass, which can operate under the working conditions including unit max

    output, circulating cooling water temperature 38C and back pressure less

    than 18.6 kPa.

    The design start mode of the unit is MP cylinder mode. Also HP cylinder can

    be adopted, as the bypass system is not put into operation. We should pay

    attention to the swing condition of HP exhaust check valves when it impulse.

    Bypass system adopts two-stage series connection bypass system and it has

    MP & HP combined start, MP cylinder start and protection functions.
