3 TEAMS SERVICE

3.1 TEAMS PARKING AREA

Please note that onsite parking is limited and the parking pass will be allocated to the teams according to the numbers of riders entered, until to a max. of two passes. Any further vehicles should be discussed with the team area coordinator.

3.2 TEAMS STORAGE AREA

Storage areas will be allocated to the teams according to the numbers of riders entered. The entrance will be at Level U1, BMZ. Deposit requested (to cover keys & in the event of damage): 100 € (in cash).

3.3 TRACK CENTRE TEAM BOXES

Track centre boxes will be available from Monday 16th October. Team boxes are allocated in the track centre taking into account the size of each team. Due to the large number of people on the track centre, the space is limited and we ask you to keep to your allocated area. Please ensure equipment does not excessively narrow or block walkways.

3.4 TEAMS CHANGING ROOM

There are male and female changing rooms and shower facilities available at the Velodrome.

3.5 TEAMS PERFORMANCE ANALYSTS

An area for Performance Analysts will be provided. Availability is limited. Teams wishing to utilise this facility must book their position until the 7

th of October.

The cost of this service will be € 50. Please contact: [email protected] Please note: Bookings will be made on a first come, first served basis.

3.6 DOPING CONTROL

The anti-doping controls will be under the responsibility of the Cycling Anti-Doping Foundation (CADF). An official Communiqué will be distributed by the appointed DCO. Anti-doping tests will be carried out by the UCI Doping Control Officers appointed and in accordance with the UCI Regulations. Chaperons have the right and the duty to accompany athletes at all times and in all places. The athlete’s staff should not prevent the chaperons to observe permanently the athlete. Riders are reminded that it is their responsibility to report for doping control.

3.7 RIDERS SAFETY RULES

While on the track, riders must wear a helmet. The use of personal stereo or Go-Pro camera equipment and headphones while riding on the track is forbidden. The use of the derny and the use of starting blocks during the official training are not permitted. During these sessions, standing starts are permitted for single rider only. The standing start shall take place on the home straight only, in the sprinters' lane and only with the assistance of someone waving a flag at the exit of the bend.

3.8 TEAM MEDICAL

A team of Paramedics will be present throughout official training and competition. A doctor will be present only during the competition. The team will be based in the track centre during official training and racing.

4 PERMANENCE AND ACCREDITATION

4.1 ACCREDITATION

Address of accreditation center: left from the main entrance at Level 0 at the Velodrome How to get there: From the athletes entrance U1 you take the 2

nd door and go with the elevator

to Level 0. There you leave the elevator to your right hand side.

Please note, Accreditations must be visible whenever you pass through accreditation controls. 4.2 MEDIA ACCREDITATION

To apply for media accreditation, please visit the UEC website www.uec.ch . Media accreditation can be collected to the opening hours of the accreditation center. Photographers bib’s can be collected on the infield zone of the track – media zone. For any further inquire please contact: Mr Stefano Bertolotti - [email protected]

for the following disciplines. These championships may be contested by riders entered by their National Federation as a National Team.

7.2 Entries (riders, staff and NF Official Delegates) must be submitted by National Federations until 8

October 2017 – 23:59 (CET) Entrants for European Championships shall hold licences issued by a Federation affiliated to the UEC and have the nationality of the Federation doing the entry.

7.3 National Federations may nominate:

Where the number of entries for an event exceeds the track limit the UEC Track Commission and /or the UEC Technical Delegate in agreement with the President of the Commissaires’ Panel

may decide to run qualification heats. 7.4 The riders to contest each Championship shall be nominated by an official of the Federation to

the commissaires before the Team Managers meeting prior to the commencement of the

meeting.

7.5 Race Jersey

National team clothing 1.3.059 The wearing of national team clothing shall be mandatory: - at world championships - at continental championships - for the riders of a national team - during Olympic and Paralympic Games, in accordance with the IOC and NOC Regulations. The continental and national champions must comply with this rule and wear their national team clothing while participating in the events cited here before. (text modified on 1.01.98; 1.01.04; 1.01.05; 1.01.06; 1.10.10; 26.07.17). Order of priority 1.3.071 Without prejudice to relevant provisions but applicable for all the disciplines, should various provisions requiring the wearing of different jerseys apply to the same rider, the order of priority shall be as follows: 1. the leader's jerseys of the stage race 2. the world champion's jersey 3. the leader's jersey of the cup, series or UCI classification 4. the continental champion's jersey 5. the national champion's jersey 6. the national jersey (text modified on 26.08.04; 1.01.05; 1.01.06, 1.02.07; 1.09.08; 1.01.09; 1.10.09; 1.10.10; 1.10.13; 1.01.15; 1.01.17; 26.07.17)

World Champion Jersey In accordance with the last amendments of the UCI rules the World Champions have to wear their rainbow jersey.

7.6 In order for an event to be considered as a European Championship at least 12 riders must start

in the event. The UEC Track Commission may in special circumstances agree to reduce this requirement.

7.7 Unless prevented by an act of God, a rider once announced as taking the start and who fails

to present, shall be liable to a fine of CHF 500,00 to CHF 5’000,00. An injury or sickness shall be recognized as an act of God only if the rider is declared incapable of taking the start by the official doctor of the event.

7.8 All events will be conducted in accordance with the UCI World Championships Regulations.

7.11 Body numbers

The riders are obliged to use the body-numbers which will be supplied by the organization.

No modification and/or changes of those numbers are allowed. One body number allowed: TT 500 m. TT Kilo Individual Pursuit Team Sprint (each rider one number) Team Pursuit (each rider one number)

Other races: two numbers The Madison riders will receive dedicated numbers.

7.12 Award ceremonies

We kindly ask all the winners to be in time for the victory ceremony. Riders must present themselves in race clothing, wearing their national jersey (or World Champion jersey) and shall not wear any helmet, cap and headband or glasses until they leave the podium ceremony area.

7.13 Publication All results, rankings and communiqués will be published on the notice board. One copy will be also available in teams’ pigeons holes. Results will also be published on the UEC website: www.uec.ch and on the official website: www.veloresults.com

7.14 Program

The program and schedule can be changed on demand of the commissaires panel and the organization. The competition program will be daily announced on the notice-boards.

7.15 Unforeseen

In those events in which the regulations not supply, the commissaires panel, in conjunction with the organization, will decide.

7.16 Press

Photographers are allowed on the track only with the UEC media vests. Other members of the press (photographers and journalists) are not allowed on the track but only in the infield zone of the track.

7.17 Penalties

The UCI scale of penalties will solely apply.

8 STAYER 8.1 Training groups

8.2 The European Demi-Fond Championship will be organized and held in accordance with the

regulations and guidelines of the UCI & the UEC. The penalty system of the UCI will be used. Bicycles, motorcycles, pacers equipment and clothing must be in accordance with UCI regulations. With the enrolment for the European Stayer Championship all participants accept the special regulations in any point.

8.2 Up to 5 riders and pacers may be nominated with 3 of these riders and pacers to contest the

championship. Riders and pacers will be nominated by the National Federation of the rider. Riders may only use pacers from another nationality if the agreement of the pacer's National Federation has been obtained. Pacers may only pace one rider in the championship unless prior agreement from the UEC Track Commission has been obtained.

8.3 A jury meeting with the riders and coaches is scheduled for Tuesday, 17

th October, 9 am, in

the middle of track to the storage of motorcycles. All bikes and motorcycles will be checked by the Jury.

8.4 Motorbikes « BMW R45 450 cm³ » are provided by the German Federation. The motors are allotted at the riders & pacers meeting (Jury meeting Art. 3).

8.5 The pacer clothes will be in accordance with the UCI rules and provided by the "Velodrome

Berlin" and the German Federation. The clothes will be distributed at the Jury meeting (art. 3).

8.6 Gear limitations max. 8,80m (66 x 16) The distance between the rear-wheel spindle and the roll will be 110 cm.
