Introduction
Janitorial services are performed by men and women who are known as janitors.
Janitors are people who clean buildings such as schools, offices, hospitals and hotels. In
addition to their cleaning responsibilities, some janitors provide maintenance services.
Owning a janitorial business is a great way to gain an independent income stream.
Before launching a janitorial firm, it is necessary to plan your operations and become well-
versed in all aspects.
Janitors have many duties that are part of their job description. Depending on where
they work, duties can be more detailed than others. The main objective in janitorial work is to
keep the building orderly and clean. It is not uncommon for janitors to work nights since it is
often easier to clean a building when employees are away.
Janitors must also often tend to routine maintenance that is located in the furnace or
boiler room. It is important to make sure that necessary repairs are completed, either by the
janitor or another hired professional. Often there are minor repairs with electrical, cooling,
plumbing, or heating systems that a janitor can easily take care of.

METHODOLOGY
This chapter includes the research strategy, instrumentation, data-gathering procedure,
and financial plan that will be used to answer the given problem.
RESEARCH STRATEGY
This study will employ the descriptive method of research strategy. It involved data
gathering from the different business establishments. The proponents used surveying form and
interview to effectively get answers from respondents. Gathered information and canvassing
raw materials tools, utensils, and machineries needed.
INSTRUMENTATION
The proponents used survey-questionnaire, interview and went into different firms in
gathering needed data. The proponent found it effective to use questionnaires because
responses can be gathered quickly and easily, respondents can fill up the questionnaires in their
most convenient time and place. The interview method can provide extensive gathering data
because the proponents can be able to throw more questions and to clarify the answers of the
interviewees.
DATA GATHERING TECHNIQUE
The proponents gathered the needed information through research in the Daraga Library,
surfing the net and other books.
Before conducting survey and interviews, the proponents presented a letter informing
the respondents and other concerned individuals of the details and purpose of the study, which
was signed by the Project Feasibility Study Adviser.
The Survey-Questionnaires were given to the respondents and the interviewees were
chosen through fishbowl method and were interviewed on their scheduled date.

The proponents visited different government offices such as NSO, DTI, DOLE, and etc.
the proponents also visited some business firms of Legazpi, City namely LCC, and Pacific Mall
Legazpi. To widen the knowledge about the service, additional information was acquired
