Japan, and launch of a low-cost operation system and the cloud-based IoT/IoE solution "E-Stay system" for vacation rental providers which have been attracting attention as a new business model.

�e third axis is outbound strategies as overseas business development; we established a local subsidiary in November 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and have been cultivating new markets targeting the rapidly growing Southeast Asia.

Finally, the fourth axis is to get over the rough waves of the Darwinian sea in this era of the so-called “big bang disruption”. To achieve this goal, we research innovative cutting-edge technologies and utilize them to develop new products.

New technologies, such as IoT/IoE, M2M, big data, AI, and FinTech, are being developed every day at a head-spinning speed. In September 2016, ALMEX established the Destructive Innovation Division as a special unit to develop next-generation solution systems across all business �elds, while grasping changes in technological innovations and adapting to such changes.

Pursue the fusion of “Technology” and “Hospitality” at a high level

Automatic payment units equipped with arti�cial Intelligence (AI) will be able to communicate with users, providing them with guidance not only through text but also through the utilization of images and videos – such a future is just around the corner. We are pursuing the fusion of “Technology” and “Hospitality” at a high level, while implementing initiatives for such new technologies to further improve convenience of users.

O�er our “Techno-hospitality” to the world – in order for such a vision to become a reality, we will spare no e�orts towards the constant improvement of our products and services.

Four axes to realize the keyword towards the next generation

�e keyword towards the next generation is “Techno-hospitality (Technology × Hospitality)”.

�is is ALMEX’s original term to show its philosophy; to continuously bring innovations through cutting-edge technology, while providing hospitality to the customers, as well as to the end users who are the direct users of our products and services. In order for this philosophy to become a reality, we have established four axes.

�e �rst axis is to establish a solid system in Japan, our home market. �at is to aim for the one-and-only “absolute No.1 player” through enhancement of our after-sales service and the development of appealing products which are interesting and unique, backed by the trust and credibility we have cultivated with our customers.

�e second axis is inbound strategies. �e accommodation market has been booming due to the worldwide tourism boom and the rapid increase in the number of tourists to Japan, and lodging houses and vacation rental businesses especially are attracting increased attention. “E-stay system” provides cloud-based IoT/IoE solutions, products, and services tailored to hostels and capsule hotels based on the know-how for accommodation facilities that ALMEX have accumulated.

To provide ALMEX’s amazing products and services to the fast-growing Southeast Asian market, we established the Malaysian subsidiary “ALMEX SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY ASIA SDN.BHD.”, or “ASTA” for short, in Kuala Lumpur in November 2014. We will contribute to the development of the industries in the countries in the region through our products and services tailored to the regional characteristics of medical institutions, hotels, restaurants, and stores.

We continue to pursue more e�cient operations at hotels, hospitals, and amusement facilities in order to enhance the experience-based values of users/consumers. �rough digital technologies, we are proactively developing IT services such as face recognition (biometric authentication), IoT, AI, robotics, and data intelligence, while grasping transformation trends in DX (digital transformation) for more seamless connections between service providers and users. Furthermore, we will continue to strengthen our network coordination with advanced partner companies.

New Fin Tech services are being developed one after another through the fusion between ‘�nancial services’ and ‘information technology’.
