The problem

• There is a widening digital divide today– Technology used to an option one could avoid or get by without

– No longer optional – for education, employment, health, safety, and life.

• IT-like interfaces are being built into every job– Even janitors now have to apply for jobs on-line and use computers or

computer like interfaces in connection with their jobs.

• But many in population can’t use them because of barriers due to language, cognition, reading, seeing, hearing, physical, aging

• can’t see them well or at all• can’t hear them well or at all• don’t have physical dexterity / tremor• don’t have ability to remember or deal with complexity• can’t read well or at all • don’t understand them

• WHAT IF…
