The rise of mobile devices, cloud computing, social media, the Internet of Things, and other disruptive forces, has significantly trans-formed the way applications are built, deployed, and utilized. The roles applications play within a business have changed radically, too. Disruptors in every industry are driving massive change, creating new and vastly improved customer experiences and services. In order to capture these new digital revenue streams, develop smarter products and deliver the improved experiences that custom-ers expect, businesses and IT depart-ments need to undergo significant IT and Digital Transformation. To deliver on the capabilities of a digital business, it is indispensable for IT orga-nizations to modernize and automate their infra-structure, and transform their data center oper-

ation into a cloud environment – one that is fully automated and self-service. The rapid shift in data

center technologies will enable enterprises to optimize existing IT and legacy invest-

ments to free up resources for next generation IT that will transform

the business. We see these new technologies as pillars for the modern data center. The five pillars of modern data center are flash as a core storage infrastructure, the ability to scale out, taking the software

defined approach, movement to cloud and data protection

with best in class information secu-rity and governance. As the need of

mobile, cloud, social media and IoT grows, the IT solution providers need to get updated with the Modern Data Centre resulting in better security and governance.

ACER, the leading laptop and PC player in India, announced the expansion of its retail presence in India with the inauguration of its exclu-sive store in Chennai. The company partnered with Dotcom, one of the lead-ing entities dealing in computer and computer accessories in this region for many years. Dotcom has been Acer’s partner for 13 years and it is proud tes-tament to our commitment to building long lasting relation-ship with our channel partners.

The new store opened its doors to the public on 7th September, 2016 at Phoenix Market City Velachery – Chennai. The

D-Link is proud to announce the develop-ment of a new Wi-Fi camera that will support Apple HomeKit and the new Home app in iOS 10 later this year, making the global networking

company one of the lat-est major brands to support Apple’s smart home framework. D-Link offers an extensive range of Wi-Fi cameras as part of its Connected Home series with the new D-Link Wi-Fi cam-

era built for HomeKit’s camera category -- one of two important new accessory types announced in the keynote speech at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event in San Fran-cisco. “In D-Link, we’ve been building Wi-Fi cam-eras for more than 10 years and we understand the strategic importance of these cameras to your home’s IoT ecosystem,” said Mr. Tushar Sighat, Executive Director & CEO, D-Link (India) Ltd.

Now, through the new HomeKit-enabled D-Link camera and Apple’s new Home app in iOS 10, we are excited that fam-ilies around the world will have an easy and secure way to monitor their homes.”

Furthermore, the addition of Siri support with HomeKit allows cameras to be voice-enabled, giving families even more options to control and monitor their homes with faster results. The new D-Link® Wi-Fi camera and integration with Home-Kit is a powerful demonstration of how D-Link is enhancing the user experience and increasing the performance of its Connected Home portfo-lio. Infoholic Research LLP, a global market research and consulting organization, has published a study titled “Worldwide Wearable Device Security Solu-tions Market: Drivers, Opportunities, Trends, and Forecasts, 2016-2022” (July 2016).

According to Infoholic Research, the health-care industry will continue to dominate the world-wide wearable device security solutions market. As per the study, the market will experience signif-icant growth in the coming years due to increase in government investments, rise in number of wearable device users and growing demand for health and sports/fitness wearables across the globe. The market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 51.4% during the period 2016-2022 to touch an

aggregate of US$ 35.70 billion by 2022. “Rise in availability of enterprise-focused wearable apps has made the handling of workloads easier. How-ever, increased risk of security breaches is a dis-tinct possibility, because now sensitive data can be easily transferred from one wearable to the other. Organizations should be prepared with security policies to ensure safety of sensitive corporate and customer data. To mitigate this risk, wear-able device security solutions provide a robust technique to modern enterprises to improve their workflow, resource management, and enhance communications profitably,” stated Tariq Ahmed Shaik, Research Manager at Infoholic Research.
