congratulations to Cnd Pres Dilks Cncl Vic Pres Caligiuri and Ordinance CommitteeChairman Cncl Sebastian Cncl Bryson extended to all the residents of the township ahappyhealthy and prosperous New Year

thefinancialconditionoftheStateofNewJerseybeingasgraveasitseemstobewehereinlocalgovernmenthaveatoughjobaheadofusintheupcomingyearbalancingserviceswithouroneandonlyrevenuesourcerealestatetaxesMoremandatedcutsinourStatefundingaremostlikelyassuredandtouseatoolboxwithonlycuttingtoolsplacedinitsofarwillnotmakeourjobpleasantAtoolboxneedsmorethanjustthatitneedstoolstobuilditneedstoolstoreconstructanditneedstoolstoredevelopThatiswhywhileothersmayhaveprioritiesrelatedtoprovidingadditionalfacilitiesmyprioritythisyearistoputtogetheranefforttolobbyTrentonforrealrealestatetaxreliefforMonroeTownshipresidentsaswellasallNewJerseyresidentsWeneedtohaveourgovernorandlawmakersinTrentonbecomecreatorsandredevelopersnotdemolitionistsAsImentionedinNovemberIamlookingforgrassrootnonpoliticalinputonwhatcanbedonetocutthisintolerableburdenonceandforallThereisenoughcriticismtogoaroundsopleasegivemesolidideasandeachmonthIwillsendoutanemaillettertoSenatorMaddenAssemblymanMoriartyandAssemblymanDiCiccowithyourinputsUltimatelymyhopeistobeabletoputtogetheraresolutionforstatewidedistributionwiththebestsuggestionsItcannothurtanditcouldpossiblyproducethelongneededsolutionevadingtheexpertsinstategovernmentforsolongSopleasehelpmakethisyeartheyearwhererealpropertytaxreformtakesplaceInmyopinionthisisthemostcriticalissuefacingallNewJerseyresidentsandwhathasbeendonesofarisfarshortofbeinganykindofsolutiontotherealreductionoflocaltaxesItiscostingourcitizenstoomuchallaroundtolivehereinNewJerseyanditdoesnothavetobethatwayThankyouverymuchCnclFrankCaligiurinotedduringoneofthetelevisedCouncilMeetingsbeforetheGeneralElectionCnclDanTeefychallengedthevoterstocomeouttovotefororagainsttheincumbentsjusttoletusknowwhatpeoplearethinkingAlargerthanaveragenumberofvoterscameoutandindeeddidtelluswhatwasontheirmindsCnclCaligiurinotedeventhoughhewasnotupforelectionhewaslisteningalongwiththeentireCouncilbodyandtherewasindeedamessageintheelectionresultsCnclGarbowskiCndTeefyandCnclSebastianallwonbycomfortablemarginswhichtoldhimthatthisCouncilenjoysaloyalfollowingamongtheresidentswhobelieveinthingslikestabilityandexperienceingovernmentBythesametokenalargerthanexpectednumberofnewvotersandunaffiliatedvoterssentasecondmessagenotnecessarilyaconflictingmessagebutjustlookingatthebigpictureand
