Lunch on the mountainProbably the hardest decision you’ll have of your entire holiday is where to eat lunch, with an abundance of mountain restaurants across Les 3 Vallées to choose from there really is something for every taste. Your concierge or chalet manager can advise you on the best places to eat to suit your desires and of course we will drive the non-skiers to the nearest lift or to the restaurant, if possible.

DiningUnfortunately the chef has to have an evening off but there’s plenty on offer from local restaurants and your chalet manager will be happy to make recommendations andabookingforyou.AuxPetitsOignonsisjustastonethrow from the chalet and offers superb cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. If you’re looking to experience fine dining then restaurant Le Kaila is a must with its one Michelin Star its definitely on our list of things to do.

This charming alpine resort is located at the heart of Les 3 Vallées ski area, the largest in the world and has so much to offer all ages and levels of winter sport enthusiast. Méribel alone has around 150km of pistes, 180 lifts and that’s before your leave the valley and head to the neighbouring resorts of Courchevel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, St Martin de Belleville and La Tania.

Being at the heart of Les 3 Vallées means all these resorts can be easily accessed by various pistes and links, no need to jump in a car or take a bus as this vast area is all completely connected. The versatility of this area is second to none with access to all levels of piste and plenty of off-piste and ski touring available whilst not forgetting the cross country skiing available too.

Les 3 Vallées ski area offers some of the best mountain restaurants with everything from fine dining in Michelin stared restaurants, cosy meals in stunning locations and traditional fayre by a roaring fire to take-away pizza and mountain burgers you really would struggle to find such diverse restaurants anywhere else in the world.

Après ski is certainly something that Méribel does well with numerous après venues offering live music, Djs and dancing all mixed of course with Champagne.

After a day on the mountain you’ll certainly be ready to return to the luxury of the chalet and the chance to rest those aching muscles and tell the stories of your day.

Aprés SkiWe find most clients prefer to return to the chalet after skiing to enjoy the scrumptious afternoon tea provided by the chef followed by some relaxation in the hot tub, accompanied by a glass of something sparkling.

However sometimes it’s nice to let your hair down and dance around in your ski boots and Méribel has no shortage of live music on offer daily, both for

Après ski and evening entertainment. La Folie Douce is a favoured fancy spot with VIP seating available, Après starts with a cabaret that continues on to lively music that really gets the crowd up on their feet and singing along. The ‘Ronnie’ Le Rond Point is also a popular après destination on the slopes and close to the chalet.

Just because you don’t ski or can’t ski this year doesn’t mean you cant come away with the family and enjoy a winter holiday. You might not want to leave the chalet, after all you have your own private spa facilities and staff on hand all day but if you do want to stretch your legs the resort does offer leisure

facilities that include a gym, full size swimming pool, ice skating rink and climbing wall along with a bowling alley. If that all sounds a little energetic our top tip would be a crêpes and hot chocolate at the Crèperie Grand Marnier, you’d have to go along way to beat their afternoon delights.
