TERRIGAL VS THE LAKES AT SLADE PARK
This weekend sees our Trojans travel to Slade Park to
take on The Lakes. The match up should be strong for
the Trojans but don’t forget Lakes Seconds (the
Wamberal Savers) are in second position and will be very
keen to take a win over the Trojans.
Lakes Firsts have improved exceptionally, however, our
Trojans should have the firepower to win and we expect
to put on a top display this weekend.
The Trojans are in a good space at present as all teams
build towards the semi finals.
See you at the Rugby this weekend!
PS: There will be no junior games at The Haven for this
Saturday 8 July due to school holidays. It will be a full
day Junior Round next week on 15/7.

LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
TROJANS VS THE ENTRANCE
Our Third Grade match with The Rams produced a good crowd who
enjoyed the rugby on a sensational winter day. It was a tough
weekend for the Trojans losing both our Colts and Third Grade
matches. Our Colts missed a lot of chances and need to work hard
with Corney. In Thirds, we played an extremely committed Rams
side who needed to win to stay alive and proved to be a bit of a
bogey side again for us. That being said Thirds and Colts can still go
all the way. It was a great Trojan Day out.
BOAT RACE
After the match, the Trojans put two sides together this week to
continue our boat race fun. It was a great Trojans win and continues
the spirit around our Club.
AFTER THE GAME - THIS WEEKEND
LIVE AT BREAKERS - ALL BLACKS VS THE LIONS
After the match at the Lakes come back to Breakers and enjoy the
Lions in their tour of New Zealand which starts at 5.30 pm. It’s
always a great night at Breakers.
BLEDISLOE FOR TROJANS
The Trojans are planning a big run into the Grand Final with a
number of international rugby matches planned with our players and
supporters.
Come and join us on these nights!
COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVES RESULTS
Country Representative, Ethan McInnes, finished the
Representative calendar in great form. Ethan played in every match
winning 2 of the 3 games, with the only loss three minutes after the
full time hooter to Queensland Country 18-16.
Ethan scored against the Brumbies Provincial team and revelled at
representative level.
Well done Ethan with your Country honours in 2017!
Terrigal Trojan Colts
player Vaughan
Kernan was also
selected to play for NSW
Country Colts and
produced strong
representative results.
In the last match against
Queensland Country with
scores locked at 20-20
and only minutes to go,
Vaughan took the ball up
to the Queensland boys
and was the victim of a
spear tackle, fortunately
no harm done.
A penalty was duly awarded and the NSW halfback calmly slotted the
penalty to make it a full-time winning score 23-20 over Queensland.
It was a successful year for the NSW Country Colts winning 2 of 3
games and Vaughan has been a great ambassador of the Trojan
Club at Country level.
JUNIOR TROJANS ON TOUR IN COFFS HARBOUR
The Trojan Junior Club was well represented at the recent Coffs
Harbour Challenge.
The Trojans played in the U11s, U12s and U14s tournament. Our
U11s Reds and Blues who went away as a combined side, toured to
the tournament on a bus and stayed at Arrawarra Caravan Park. The
combined teams finished up winning 7 out of 8 games.
All our teams played well with Trojan Oliver Marottawinning
the Spirit of Rugby Award chosen from all teams at the
competition for the way he played the game.
The event brought together parents and players from all clubs and
grades which made for a great tournament of rugby. The tournament
was all about inclusion where we had some U13s sharing players
with an Avoca side and Emile Thomas’ son from Avoca played in our
U11s. Our U14s played in a combined side with Hunter Barbarians.
That’s great Rugby.
The event was very well run and those who attended are looking
forward to going again to next year’s challenge. The boys
commented they didn’t want to come home at the end of their tour!
