MEET INFORMATIONTh e multi-event championship features 20 student-athletes from eight CCC schools. In the heptathlon, 10 women compete for the conference title, while 10 men battle for the decath-lon crown. Corban and Eastern Oregon each send fi ve athletes to the meet. Th e meet, hosted by Concordia and Warner Pacifi c, will be at Oregon City High School. Th e fi rst event, the decathlon 100 meters, is scheduled for Th ursday at 10 a.m. Th e heptathlon’s fi rst event, the 100-meter hurdles, begins at 10:10 a.m. Th e meet will be scored as a Washington (WSU, EWU, CWU, Whitworth, Gonzaga, Seattle U, SPU and Spokane) vs. the “WORLD” Oregon (EOU and TVCC), Idaho (University of Idaho, Northwest Nazarene, BSU, and LCSC) and Montana (University of Montana and Great Falls University) dual and we will combine the scores of the “two” teams separately by gender. Th e meet will take place at Spokane Falls Community College.

THE LAST TIME OUTTh e Eastern Oregon University track and fi eld teams landed three NAIA automatic marks at the Willamette Invitational. Eastern had 32 conference championship qualifying marks over the two days of the meet. Friday, Brian Bragg and Isaac Updike hit NAIA auto marks, while Kody Coxen had a provisional mark. Updike fi nished second in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase. Coxen hit a provisional national qualifying mark of 9:26.92. Bragg had a third place fi nish in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:38.38. Kimmy Moore ran to a 1:03.39 fi nish in the women’s 400-meter hurdles. Moore fi nished fourth in her heat. Th e Noxen, Mont., native hit a Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship qualifying mark in the 100-meter hurdles. Trevor Barrett hit three conference championship qualifying marks. Robbie Haynie hit a pair of NAIA auto marks in Arizona in the high jump and the pole vault.

WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEKBrittany Petersen, Northwest Christian, SRPetersen earned an NAIA automatic mark for the third straight year, missing her own school record by two seconds in the 5,000 meters. It’s currently the best time of the season in the CCC and ranks fourth in the NAIA.

MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEKMatt Webster, Concordia, SRWebster won the hammer throw at the Wil-lamette Invitational over the NAIA’s No. 2 performer in the event in Bo Johnson. Webster edged his teammate 190 feet, four inches to 185 feet, 10 inches for the event win and an NAIA automatic qualifi er.
