Molybdenum Market ForumAttendees in 2013 by industry sector

2014 has been a better year for the global molybdenum industry, with international prices well supported by economic recovery and healthy demand growth from European markets. China’s potential changes on its resources tax regime and export tax and quotas, new supply from both primary and by-product projects around the globe, and improved international trading flows between China and International markets have all contributed towards a much brighter picture for the molybdenum industry. Metal Bulletin Events’ 2nd Molybdenum Market Forum – also one of the official events of CESCO’s Asia Copper Week - returns as the warm-up to the main Asia Copper Conference, and will gather molybdenum and ferro-molybdenum producers, traders, stainless steel mills and other related bodies from around the globe for an intensive one day event to discuss the hot topics facing the industry.

Key topics to be discussed:• Latest developments in China’s resources taxes regime and changes

on export tax & quota - timeline on those new policies to be put into practice, and how they will influence the industry

• Molybdenum mining projects and new concentrates supply from China

• Production from primary and by-product mines in the West

• Molybdenum demand forecasts from China

• World roasting capacity and ferro-molybdenum production to supply the steel sector

• Are molybdenum prices well supported by genuine demand or is there an arbitrage window between Western and Chinese markets?

• Stainless steel sector recovery and molybdenum usage

• How will international trading and global market balances change in 2015 and beyond?
